Job Description Children s Ministry Elementary and Outreach Coordinator 20 Hours per week $8.00 per hour Supervisor Children s Pastor Areas of Ministry 1. Elementary Coordinator (EC) will coordinate the scheduling of and the reminding of volunteers at the pager table and welcome center. 2. EC will train new volunteers for the pager table and the welcome center. 3. EC will stock the welcome center with visitor forms and make sure visitor forms are delivered to the children s pastor for follow-up. 4. EC will work alongside the children s pastor to welcome and greet visitors on Sunday mornings. 5. EC will serve as an aid and help to Sunday School teachers on Sundays to make copies, find supplies, and any other help they may need. 6. EC will serve in Awana as a floater in T & T and as the story teller in Sparks. 7. EC will help plan and coordinate the children s church program 252. Duties in 252 include gathering supplies for the small group leaders, planning the services, and serving as the mc in place of the children s pastor. 8. EC will weekly organize the gym storage room, inventory the supply room, and purchase any supplies that are needed. 9. EC will serve as a Sunday School substitute teacher periodically and help coordinate substitutes for Sunday School classes. 10. EC will perform office tasks to assist the children s pastor and the children s ministry administrator and perform any other tasks that are needed. 11. EC will attend the outreach activities of the elementary Sunday School classes and serve on the Fall Fun Fest committee. 12. The EC will help plan and prepare for Vacation Bible School, music camp, and summer camp.

The Preteen Coordinator (PC) will serve as the speaker in the Church 56 program at least once a month. 2. The PC will coordinate the Church 56 serve teams. This includes planning and carrying out of the training of the preteens serving in the nursery, preschool, and 252. 3. The PC will meet with the nursery director, preschool director, and elementary coordinator to determine the usage of preteens in their areas of ministry. 4. The PC will make sure the Church 56 small groups are full staffed each week and will actively seek new volunteers to the ministry. 5. The PC will lead and plan the Church 56 Sunday evening small groups called Core groups. 6. The PC will help at least twice a month in 252. 7. The PC will serve in Awana as the game director for T & T. 8. The PC will meet once a month with the Church 56 leadership team. The PC will also plan the training of this group. 9. The PC will help plan and attend all Church 56 activities including the Spring Break trip. 10. The PC will help with Vacation Bible School, summer camp, and music camp. 11. The PC will choose and the curriculum for Church 56 small group leaders and assure all small group leaders have the material. 12. The PC will help in whatever capacity the children s pastor ask and will carry out such duties as setting up for Church 56, 252, and Sunday School.

The Creative Arts Coordinator (CAC) will coordinate the computer programming of the Church 56, 252, and Awana Counsel Time Presentations. 2. The CAC will meet with the worship leader for each of the above ministries weekly to program song choices. 3. The CAC will set up any sound, projection, or computer needs of the children s ministry. The CAC will do this in coordination with the Media Director of Hyland Heights Baptist Church. 4. The CAC will create flyers and publications for the children s ministry. This includes a yearly update of the children s ministry brochure, the monthly newsletter, and activity flyers. 5. The CAC will update the children s ministry web-site and facebook page on a weekly basis. 6. The CAC will be in charge of skits for quarterly family experience in 252, the skits for VBS, camp, and the Church 56 spring break trip. 7. The CAC will serve as the MC in 252 twice a month and speak once a month in the Church 56 service. 8. The CAC will serve in the Awana program and coordinate the weekly counsel time speaker schedule. 9. The CAC will help with VBS, summer camp, and music camp. 10. The CAC will perform office tasks to assist the children s pastor and the children s ministry administrator and perform any other tasks that are needed.
Student Ministry Assistant (Female) Job Description Position: Part Time Support Staff Job Summary: The Student Ministry Assistant is to provide assistance in the discipleship, training, and teaching of students and volunteer leaders to fulfill the church mission and process of making disciples for Christ (CGI), leadership and direction specifically in the ministry of JH and SH girls, and assistance in other areas of the Student Ministry. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate with the Student Ministry Pastor and Jr. Hi. Pastor an ongoing ministry to JH and SH girls that includes but is not limited to connecting, accountability, discipleship and activities that conform to the philosophy and methodology of the HHBC Student Ministry. Recruit and develop volunteers to assist in the various responsibilities of the ministry to girls. Communicate with students and parents via. mail, phone, email, facebook, etc. for the purpose of follow-up, discipleship, encouragement, etc. Required to be present during Sunday morning youth and church services, Sunday afternoon practices, Sunday night youth events, Wednesday night youth services, other youth programs, activities and events and must set a minimum of eight hours during the week in the office, schedule to be approved by the Student Ministry Pastor. Assist with other responsibilities as Student Ministries Pastor deems necessary. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Must be in agreement with articles of faith of HHBC. Must bear witness to a clear testimony of conversion, evidence of the fruit of the Spirit, and a commitment to personal, spiritual growth. Should be creative, have a passion and heartfelt concern for students, be high energy, and hard working. Able to work in a team setting with good communication skills. This will include but is not limited to Power Point slides, postcards, posters, brochures, and other forms of printed and digital media. Create graphics and occasionally submit text materials for the monthly Student Ministry Newsletter Coordinate with JH and SH Pastors and church Graphic Designer to update and maintain Student Ministry website. Position: Part Time Support Staff Student Worship Leader Job Description Job Summary: The Student Worship Leader is to provide leadership, direction, and excellence in the area of Student Ministry worship. Job Responsibilities: Lead student and adult members of the Student Praise Team in the performance and presentation of worship during youth services and special youth events. Train and develop current and prospective Praise Team members in vocal and/or instrumental skills in accordance with their abilities and giftedness (see additional criteria for participation in Student Praise Team). Collaborate with Student Ministries Pastor and Jr. Hi. Pastor in planning weekly youth services. Prepare weekly order of service for technical crew and Student Ministries Pastor and Jr. Hi. Pastor then make printed copies for all necessary parties. Prepare and update weekly announcement slides to be used in services. Ensure that all songs, videos, slides, etc. are properly setup in computers for both Jr. and Sr. High groups prior to weekly services. Update and maintain music library. Under the oversight of the Student Ministry Pastor, evaluate and introduce new songs as needed. Communicate with Technical Director regarding any audio/visual needs and repairs. Required to be present during Wednesday night services, team practices and must set a minimum of four hours during the week in the office, schedule to be approved by the Student Ministry Pastor. Assist with other responsibilities as Student Ministries Pastor deems necessary.
