Global cable solutions for harsh environment upstream applications, offshore topside and land drilling

Oil & gas challenges Your offshore and land drilling projects need to operate more safely and profitably. Meticulous project execution, a value enriching offer, advanced engineering skills and services are more important than ever before. Offshore Upstream Offshore upstream projects can challenge cable constructions with relentless heat, extreme cold, extreme vibration, salt corrosion, drilling mud and mechanical stress. Because of the isolated locations in which many of these projects operate, only the best-designed and manufactured cables survive these harsh, punishing conditions. Cables are at the very heart of improving performance and contribute to creating new capabilities. Both offshore topside and land drilling installations are based on high-quality power, control and VFD cables that are reliable and energy-efficient under the toughest operating conditions. They also need advanced LANs, fieldbus and fiber-based technologies to meet digital oilfield applications and remote drilling operations. Your projects also require high-performance equipment, easier installation, turnkey electrical systems, and a host of services to guarantee end-to-end quality, especially in terms of supply chain commitments and engineering support. Our experience in oil & gas projects worldwide gives us the unique perspective on delivering the most costeffective project cable solutions and to support this challenging market. Land drilling Directional drilling technology has opened up previously unrecoverable oil and gas reserves. Land-based drilling projects challenge cable durability with exposure to heat and cold, vibration, drilling mud, mechanical stress and the handling-factor of continuous take-down, relocation and set-up.
