Your Ad Campaign on EurActiv.com This document offers a description of a campaign on EurActiv.com and provides specifications for each campaign component. It is meant to facilitate the preparation of a campaign on EurActiv.com and the communication between the EurActiv team and your organisation. This should help both sides to make the process efficient and your campaign a success. So please make sure you have read it before sending us your campaign material. For your campaign you can choose either to: Ask EurActiv to produce the banners; Provide EurActiv with your own banners. A week of campaign starts on Monday morning until Sunday evening. WHAT WE NEED TO BOOK YOUR CAMPAIGN Option 1: YOU CREATE YOUR OWN BANNERS 1. Agree to the media plan with EurActiv. 2. Provide the banners and ad text by Monday 4pm the week prior to the start of the media plan following the specifications (see Appendix 3). Please ensure that: a. the material complies with the specifications for size and dimensions (see Appendix 3). b. the design does not contain any offensive or disturbing content. 3. If you have any concerns that your material may be rejected please contact us early to avoid last-minute problems. Option 2: EURACTIV DESIGNS YOUR BANNERS 1. Provide EurActiv with the banners instructions at least 2-3 weeks before that launch date of the campaign. 2. Provide EurActiv with: a. Visual material in electronic format: Logo (EPS, AI, TIFF, PSD, JPG, GIF,...) Company info. (brochures in PDF format, EPS, AI, PSD,...) + Fonts b. Short phrases (approx. 10 words maximum per rotation) for maximum 3 rotations. c. A web address (URL) where the link should point to. d. The text for the newsletter ad (Title max: 50 characters ; body max: 250 characters - including spaces) and the link (if different than the one for banner & button). On each newsletter there are 3 fixed ads located at the: top, column and bottom of the document. --> Make sure to send us clear instructions (what pictures goes where, what text goes where...) 3. React quickly and precisely to our proposals. We will produce a campaign proposal that will be presented to you in a valid html link or a PowerPoint document for the gif files containing all the items mentioned. Please try to ensure all your modifications are contained in a single email. IMPORTANT: Detailed information is appreciated for what should appear in the banner and in the button. Bear in mind the text size limits for each one. Please avoid last-minute changes to a campaign as they may be the source of errors. We reserve the right to limit the number of redesigns to 4 (maximum 3 modifications requests after the initial one). The banners are UPLOADED on Friday before noon (12.00), so approval process must be finished by Thursday 4 pm for campaigns starting the following week. APPENDIX 1: SAMPLE CAMPAIGN Here is an example of campaign that you may use as a guideline. It is very basic on purpose. You may request more sophisticated graphics disposition. A. APPENDIX 2: LOCATION AND ROTATION OF BANNERS You will have your banners displayed on 3 sections of your choice. HOMEPAGE The location of the banners can t be chosen: 1 Your banners will be displayed randomly between the 4 available spaces. Our ad system is a classic advertising system that most media use. The top & square banners are shared spaces. This means advertisers share the space. To maximaze visibility, the number of banners is limited to 8. It happens that you have to refresh several times. OTHER SECTIONS The location of the banners can t be chosen: Your banners will be displayed randomly between the 4 available spaces. 2 Our ad system is a classic advertising system that most media use.
