Cnfiguratin and Setup Micrsft Exchange Sftware Cnfiguratin Micrsft Exchange sftware shuld be cnfigured as fllws: Versin: Use Micrsft Exchange 2010 r Micrsft Exchange 2013 with Exchange Web Services (EWS) Managed (preferred). Accunt t access Resurces: The accunts used must have their wn mailbx. Impersnatin is required fr Office 365 sftware and is recmmended fr npremises installatins f Exchange 2013 and higher. Rm Calendars: Calendars shuld be set up as Exchange resurces; validate them by adding ne meeting via the Micrsft Outlk sftware. Ggle Calendar Cnfiguratin The Ggle Calendar applicatin shuld be cnfigured as fllws: The Ggle API applicatin must be activated, and the Ggle Calendar API service n the dmain must be enabled. The Ggle API cnsle shuld be used t create the OAuth credentials and the Ggle service accunt. Each physical meeting rm must have a Ggle rm resurce accunt. When lgging in fr the first time, fill ut the prfile t include the lcal time zne and cntact e-mail address. Select the ptin t receive e-mails. Set the web applicatin default refresh rate t 45-60 secnds. Design and set up any lcal gegraphic regin befre adding any ndes r rms t the database. Keep the tree and nde hierarchy t fur r five ndes deep (e.g., Cntinent, Cuntry, State, City, and Building). Create rm templates suitable fr the envirnment. Add rms t the database using rm templates. Chse the apprpriate rm calendar type. Turn ff all attribute SYSTEM lgging unless directed by Crestrn Tech Supprt services. Cntrl System Prgramming During the installatin, cnfigure the cntrl system as fllws: Use Symbl Crestrn Fusin Rm t ensure cmpatibility with Crestrn Fusin. Use a 3-Series Cntrl System platfrm. Use the mdules (supplied by Crestrn) fr device usages, help requests, scheduling, and errr lgging. Set up each cntrl system t wrk with Crestrn Fusin Clud Editin. Use a minimum firmware versin f 1.012.x (required). Enter the CLOUDURL url cmmand (prvided by Crestrn) int the Crestrn Tlbx cnsle, and then enter the CLOUDENABLE ON cmmand. Sample all high-vlume data befre sending t Crestrn Fusin. Fr example, the utput f ramping analg signals, such as lighting level, can change quickly. This type f signal shuld be gated befre the user sends t Crestrn Fusin. NOTE: DNS reslutin must be cnfigured fr the device s Ethernet interface. Enter the CLOUDURL url cmmand (prvided by Crestrn) int the Crestrn Tlbx cnsle, and then enter the CLOUDENABLE ON cmmand. NOTE: DNS reslutin must be cnfigured fr the device s Ethernet interface. NOTE: In Crestrn Fusin Clud Editin, scheduling panels are autmatically discvered as inactive Assets using a default driver under the Rt Nde. Mve the scheduling panels t the apprpriate destinatin rm in the tree t activate, and update the driver accrding t the Out f the Bx Functinality (OOTBF) versin. Crestrn PinPint App The best practices fr using the Crestrn PinPint app with Crestrn Fusin are as fllws: Cnfigure the Micrsft Azure Active Directry sftware fr the cmpany. Fr Office 365 users, this shuld already be cnfigured. There shuld be an azurename.nmicrsft.cm directry accunt. Add the Azure subscriptin t the directry accunt t register the Crestrn Fusin applicatin. Cnfigure ne r mre systems n the enterprise netwrk with Micrsft Azure AD Cnnect t synchrnize the cmpany directry with the Clud. NOTE: T install this sftware, it is required that the user has Enterprise Admin access t the n-premises Active Directry. NOTE: T set up the Azure Active Directry synchrnizatin, it is required that the user has Glbal Admin access t the Azure Active Directry. Register the Crestrn Fusin server as bth a read-nly Native Client applicatin in Azure Active Directry and a web applicatin. A Client ID is prvided by the Azure prtal. In the web applicatin, a key is supplied upn registratin. Refer t the Cnfiguratin nline help fr cmplete details. Cnfigure an Azure Active Directry grup that includes end users wh are authrized t use the Crestrn PinPint app. This enfrces cmpliance with the license, especially if nt all users in the cmpany are using the app. Cnfigure an Active Directry grup that includes the installer users wh are authrized t use the Crestrn Beacn Setup Pr app. The Crestrn Beacn Setup Pr app is used t cnfigure the rm beacns and phts. Use ne r mre cmpany.tld user email dmains fr all Crestrn PinPint users, if thse dmains are federated tgether in ne n-premises Active Directry and are cnslidated int a single Azure Active Directry; therwise, a single cmpany.tld user dmain is supprted. Install Crestrn PinPint PP-100 beacns t enable the app t range the presence in individual meeting spaces. T effectively cnfigure the beacns, review the fllwing best practices: PP-100 beacns are USB devices and are pwered by a 5 V USB pwer supply. Use a wall charger (available frm a third party) r an available USB hst prt t supply pwer t the PP-100. Optimally the PP-100 shuld be placed at a central pint in the space, typically under the meeting table. Minimize physical bstructins, such as metal table legs r equipment racks. If PP-100s are used in adjacent rms, avid placing them alng a cmmn wall in clse prximity t each ther, since PinPint detectin can ccur thrugh walls and ther bstructins. If PP-100s are used in tw rms that are directly abve and belw each ther, avid placing PP-100s in the lwer rm clse t the ceiling. Fusin InSite When using Fusin InSite, refer t the fllwing infrmatin: Obtaining and Optimizing the Revit Sftware File The building Revit file shuld be requested and btained frm the building managers f the custmer site at least tw weeks prir t the Crestrn Fusin installatin. This allws Crestrn engineers sufficient time t trublesht any prblems that may arise during the imprt prcess int Crestrn Fusin. Depending n the number f elements within the file and the cmplexity f thse gemetrical elements, the file can becme quite large and shuld be ptimized befre attempting t exprt int the IFC frmat. The file shuld cntain the minimum amunt f Revit data t imprt what will lk like a building in the Fusin RV interface: typically, Rms, Walls, Curtain Walls, Windws, Drs, Railings, Stairways, Flrs and Slabs, Rfs, and Site. If there is n ther area utside the building that is cntrlled r mnitred by Fusin RV r Fusin EM, such as parking lt lights, then Site is nt necessary, unless a view f the building with exterir landscaping is desired. Exprting the Revit File t IFC Frmat T exprt the Revit building mdeling infrmatin t the Industry Fundatin Classes (IFC) file frmat, refer t the recmmendatins n the Revit website. Imprting an IFC Building Mdel t Crestrn Fusin An IFC building mdel can be imprted int Crestrn Fusin and assigned t a specific nde in the Crestrn Fusin tree structure using the Flr Plan tab n the Add/Edit Nde dialg bx f the Setup web client. Once imprted, the building mdel can immediately be viewed frm the InSite tab in bth the Fusin EM and Fusin RV sftware Mnitring pages. Any user lgged in with Setup access may view the Assign Rm tab n the Rm Detail verlay t map the apprpriate Crestrn Fusin rm t a space in the mdel. Adding a New Flr Plan File When adding a new flr plan file t Crestrn Fusin, refer t the fllwing: Once a flr plan is imprted nt a nde, be aware f the fllwing rules that gvern any subsequent imprts. A new flr plan cannt be imprted nt any higher nde (ancestr) f the existing flr plan nde. A new flr plan cannt be imprted nt any lwer nde (descendant) f the existing flr plan nde. A new flr plan can nly be imprted nt ndes that are the same level (sibling) as the initial flr plan nde. An existing flr plan can be verwritten by imprting a different IFC file nt the existing flr plan nde. After the imprt is dne, please take nte f any new r missing IFC spaces reprted n the imprt windw.
