SOLAR HERITAGE is a 14 metre solar powered catamaran. She can carry up to 50 passengers. COSTS AND BOOKING Itchenor 7.50 per adult and 3.50 for children up to 16 years old. WHEELCHAIRS the boat is fitted with a wheelchair lift. 2

Bird Watching by Boat: 1½ hour trip with a maximum of 30 passengers. A guide will help you spot and identify the many thousands of birds that visit Chichester Harbour each winter. These trips are 8.50 per person. Breakfast Cruise: Enjoy a light continental breakfast as the boat takes you on a Harbour Discovery cruise. 7.50 adults / 4.50 children Cans, Cones and Cardinals: 1½ hour trip from Itchenor. During the trip you will learn about the markers and buoys and hear about what navigation in the harbour involves. This is a fun introductory session and not intended as formal training. Cruise with X-Boats or Sunbeams: Sail alongside these classic boats. An expert speaker will talk about the history of these fine craft and explain the racing tactics as you watch the excitement unfold. Afterwards join the crews at Itchenor Sailing for a drink or evening meal. Egg Hunts: A gentle trip on our solar powered boat the Solar Heritage for families, with a special harbour-themed Easter egg hunt. Chocolate egg prizes for all, including the young at heart. 8 adults / 4 children. Evening Cruise: enjoy 1½ hours onboard the boat during the most peaceful time of the day. Bring a picnic (no glass) if you wish or enjoy a meal at a nearby pub afterwards. Harbour Discovery Emsworth Trip: these summer trips depart most days, when the tide allows, for 1 hour. The commentary will give you general information about the harbour. Harbour Discovery Itchenor Trips: 1½ hour trip. Onboard there will be a general commentary about Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. I Spy: A trip especially for younger ones and their families. What can you spot whilst enjoying a trip on the solar boat? Itchenor trips 1½ hours, Emsworth trips 1 hour. Longest Day Cruise: 1½ hour trip from Itchenor. Relax onboard the Solar Heritage as we celebrate the longest day of the year and watch the sun set over Chichester Harbour. Bring a picnic (no glass) if you wish or enjoy a meal at a nearby pub afterwards. Nature Discovery: Take in the beauty of Chichester Harbour as your skipper, an accredited wildlife safe operator will use his knowledge on this 3 hour trip to get you close to some our wildlife residents. A wildlife expert will explain more about what we see which may include harbour seals and a variety of birds. 15 adults / 7 children. Photography: Join us onboard the Solar Heritage in the company of professional photographer Paul Gonella. The boat is a great base for taking photos. We will sail towards the harbour entrance to see dinghy racing. Paul will be on hand to give advice on composition techniques, depth of field, colours, activity on the water, textures and more. Suitable for all compact and SLR camera users. Bring a camera and warm clothing. 10 adults / 6 children up to 16. Please note all these times are subject to change. Meet by the public jetty, halfway along the Promenade, 15 minutes before departure. Postcode Ref: PO10 7AQ (Emsworth Square). Itchenor (It): Park in the pay & display car. Allow 2 hours for a Solar Heritage trip (4 hours for the Nature Discovery). Walk from the car park to the harbourside. Solar Heritage will be on the end of the public jetty for boarding from 15 minutes before departure. Postcode Ref: PO20 7AW. Dell Quay (D): Roadside parking, the road may be busy with parking for the sailing club and pub. Please leave adequate time to walk to the Quay. Walk past the pub and onto the Quay. The boat will be on the public jetty on the right side. Postcode Ref: PO20 7EE. 5

TERROR is a 28 traditional gaff-rigged, open decked sailing boat. She was built in 1890 as a working boat to support the Emsworth oyster fleet. Terror was fully restored between 2004-6 and an engine was fitted. COSTS AND BOOKING 12.50 adults and 5 for children up to 16 years old. All scheduled trips are about 2 hours, but please allow 3 hours for your visit. All places must be booked in advance, please call the booking line on 01243 513275 or call into the Harbour Office, Itchenor. PASSENGER NUMBERS Terror is certified to carry 6 fare-paying passengers. All crew are experienced sailors who have been trained to operate Terror. Please note they are all volunteers. CHILDREN must be 6 years and over. Each child must be accompanied by an adult (max 3 children on each trip). DOGS no dogs other than guide dogs. REFUNDS if we have to cancel a trip we will offer an alternative date or refund your money. Otherwise refunds will only be given if a minimum of 10 days notice of cancellation has been given to the Harbour Office. CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER trips will be cancelled if the wind is 17 knots or over (above Force 4) or if it is forecast to do so in the next 4 hours, or if there is less than 100m visability. The decision of the master of the vessel is final. You will be offered a refund or alternative date. WHAT TO WEAR warm clothing and a set of waterproofs are essential. Deck shoes or trainers are ideal. No leather soled shoes or heels are allowed. Lifejackets will be provided and must be worn at all times. TOILET there is no toilet on board. The nearest is the public toilet in South Street car park. ABILITY no previous sailing experience is needed. ACCESSIBILITY you must be sufficiently mobile to board the vessel. As a rule, if you can descend stairs unassisted you should be fine.
