INTRODUCTION This resource guide has been compiled for persons involved in the Neighborhood System of Care/Family to Family Program. Its purpose is to promote family preservation and ensure that families (birth, kinship and foster/adoptive) are aware of support in their own community. It provides families with a link to various services and programs that aim to empower and strengthen the family unit. MARTIN de PORRES FAMILY CENTER 1264 East 123 rd Street, (216) 268-3909 Kevin Hodges, Agency Director St. Martin de Porres was founded in 1967 as an information and referral center housed in a storefront located on East 105 th Street in the Glenville Community. Today we serve more than 2,000 families annually from this Center which is in the heart of the community. We believe in the preservation of the family - in a state of positive mental health that meets the spiritual, economic, social, political, cultural and educational needs of its members. St. Martin de Porres is part of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland and draws on more than 100 services and programs at more than 40 sites. PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OFFERED AT THIS LOCATION Alcohol Anonymous (AA): Offers weekly Meetings (Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the Lower Level) Family To Family Neighborhood System of Care: Supervisor, Ginny Hearn ext. 233 Wrap Specialists: Carmen Williams ext. 267, Cynthia Pittman ext. 263, Kimberly Dickson Ext. 240; Resource Specialist, Lakeita Dimes ext. 262. Collaborative meeting attendees include service providers, community folk/professionals, para-professionals/ all resource families (foster/adoptive/kinship caregivers) and anyone interested in working to strengthen our community and preserve families. Some services may occur only at certain times of the year. We may be able to help with the following: Food Food is distributed* once a month to registered families. If you are not eligible for food from our food bank, you will be referred to other food banks and food pantries within your community; you also may be able to receive a onetime/once a year only emergency food bag from St. Martin de Porres Family Center if food is available. *Please call to verify the dates and times food will be distributed.
