It is a service of the Initiative for Violence Free Families of Ramsey and Hennepin Counties MENS National Suicide Prevention Lifeline This is a 24-hour crisis line for people in danger of harming themselves. Statewide: TALK County Specific Crisis Services Acute Psychiatric Services (Hennepin County) Provide 24 hour crisis intervention and psychiatric evaluation on a walk-in basis. Organization also runs a short term shelter for battered women. This organization mainly works with clients from the Latino population. Crisis Line: (bilingual Spanish & English): Domestic Abuse Project Organization provides mental health services to both men that are engaging in abusive and violent behavior and survivors of domestic abuse. They provide 72 hour crisis nursery services as well as a 24 hour crisis phone line for parents. Golden Valley Shelter 5400 Glenwood Avenue Golden Valley, MN Hour Parent Help Line: Lutheran Social Services LSS provides a crisis nursery, which is a confidential service offering short-term, safe care for children from infancy through 12 years of age. This care may be provided by a licensed day care provider or may extend to licensed overnight care. The service is provided for families who are experiencing significant levels of stress which may lead to the abuse or neglect of their child. This service is available in: Mankato, Duluth and St. Cloud. 6

They also offer a peer-based, mutual support group program for anyone facing the challenges of recovering from any serious mental illness.
