CANNON T4 MINI / MICRO DATA CENTRE SYSTEMS Air / Water / DX Cooled Cabinet Solutions

Mini Data Centre All in One Solution: Where there is a requirement for standalone computing and communications, or highly resilient, multi mirroring of systems an All In One cabinet provides a life support package for your IT equipment. The solution is easy to transport and rapid to deploy. Cooling may be by air cooling if available or Water/DX cooled heat exchangers employed to remove the heat and ensure the security of the IT equipment within. The cabinet is available with multiple options:- Entry level : an empty cabinet with air control glands, ready for customer fit out. IT ready : complete with a UPS, PDU Strips and Fire Protection system. Just fit your own servers & network switch. Turnkey : The required servers and switches may be installed and preconfigured by our Cisco certified Cannon Datacoms Engineers. Cannon Cool Cooling Module Options: Side mount: 200 mm wide unit to the left or right of the cabinet, 1.2m deep, any width cabinet, up to EMC std, 4 to 30kw per module in both Water and DX cooled variant s. Mid row: 300 mm cooling unit fits between cabinets and cools cabinets to both sides as required. Multiple cabinet / mid row units for high power density and resilience. Rear door: Closed cabinet rear door solutions and vented open loop rear door versions available to suit most cabinets from 4kw up to 55kw in both DX and Water cooled format. Within cabinet: Cooling units mounted Within the rack space. Cooling solutions:- Water Cooled: Provides the most dynamic and controllable cooling medium along with the lowest PUE when used with free cooling chillers. DX cooled: in both packaged (single unit) and split configurations, Highly cost effective space saving systems. Thermoelectric: Compact, fluid-less, ideal for arduous environments.

Cannon Cool: Cooling Module function: The Cooling units draw in the hot exhaust air at the rear of the enclosure, moving the air through a large air to fluid heat exchanger coil. As the fluid circulating within is cooler than the exhaust air the heat dissipates into the coils many cooling fins. The cooled air is recirculated to the front of the enclosure where the whole cycle starts again. The heat removed by the fluid (DX or Water) is then recooled by an external pumped system and returned. (With DX this must be less than 70 meters away). Due to the sealing of the cabinet very little dust can enter and the air humidity within remains constant once the system has settled. The Cannon system has multiple low noise fan blowers with infinite step less control. Multiple temperature sensors control the fan speeds and optional water control valves. Eco mode cooling can give a PUE of less than 1.05 Integrated DCiM: The Full range of Cannon Data Centre Manager modules may be specified in a Mini Data Centre. The Highline Display monitors the cabinet status, up to 4 Temperature sensors, one humidity sensor, two electronic locks / keypads and two i-pdus may be monitored over an IP Network using a Network module and Cannon DCM Web application. Alarms and the general status may be viewed simply, Access control & CCTV are also available as well as remote displays and management.

Row based cooling: Where cabinets are to be arranged in rows, as in a single row data centre or Network core the Cannon Cool units may be mounted between them to share the cooling along the row without requiring an aisle containment system. 300 mm mid row cooling units have a maximum capacity of 30kw with water coils and 20kw with DX units. Additional side mount cooling units may also be fitted on the row ends to increase both capacity and resilience. The layout shown right has a total capacity of 60kw across the three cabinets, with two off WIRC 30kw water cooled units giving a total load of up to 20kw in each cabinet. Two off end of row units could be added, then 120kw of cooling is available, giving 40kw per cabinet, or 30kw with n+1 redundancy. NB These are total cooling values, Sensible Cooling is normally rated at 20% less than the total available due to latent heat losses. Rows may be extended easily by adding more cooling units and cabinets as and when required. These data centre islands may be used within traditional data centre space if required with no impact upon the existing cabinets or cooling infrastructure. As Stand Alone units they offer huge amounts of processing or networking in a tiny footprint. Particularly suitable for SAN, CCTV, Card Services, Network cores and High Density computing. Also available in external weatherproof cabinets for CCTV, Broadcast, Traffic, Rail, Cellular etc. 3 Cabinet plan view

Cannon Mini / Micro Data Centre Cooling units: General data and options:- Water Cooled units:- 30kw 200mm side mount, left or right hand side 42U high. 30kw 300mm, 90kw 600mm Mid Mount shared row. Chilled Water Supply at 8 to 14 C, 0.4bar @ 60L/min, 4 to 15 kw rear door sealed cabinet (5U of U space taken). 10 to 55kw Vented Rear Door, open loop, both passive and fan assisted. 3 to 7kw in rack, 5U mounts in U space, minimum 1000 deep cabinet. DX Cooled:- Direct Exchange to R410a refrigerant: 20kw 200mm side mount 42U high, Connects to 20/40kw external unit (70m max). 300mm 20kw, 60kw 600mm Mid Mount. Shared row. 3 to 10 kw rear door sealed (5U of U space taken). 20 to 45kw rear door vented, open loop, both passive and fan assisted. 3 to 5kw in rack 5U mounts in U space, minimum 1000 deep cabinet. 3 to 12 kw Packaged, all in one unit, heat exhausts outside enclosure. All Fans & Blowers are 48v dc EC PWM low noise and pressure, step less speed control. 30kw water cooled units require 580w at max cooling, and only 250w at 70%.

The Cannon Mini and Micro Data Centre range is the result of almost forty years of continuous experience. The solutions Cannon offers today have steadily evolved and developed, keeping abreast of emerging technologies and testing in the most arduous of environments. Cannon has taken the experience gained from roadside and trackside enclosures and applied them to the micro data centre system solutions. This system available from Cannon and our worldwide partner network enables clients to deploy High Density Computing, CCTV, Cell Telco, Network switching, Card Services or Data collection in areas not previously available due to the lack of suitable cooling or power. With multi power, Fire, Access and cooling systems as well as world beating enclosure technology to deal with Desert to Artic climates Cannon has it covered. As every Data Centre requirement is different, Cannon T4 Data Centre Solutions would be pleased to offer any assistance in specifying, designing and utilising a solution tailored to your needs, from a single cabinet to a multi megawatt DC our team of Engineers and local integration partners are available to aid customers worldwide.
