Position Reports to Senior Marketing Advisor Marketing and Communications Manager Company Synlait Milk Ltd Date: August 2014 Location 1028 Heslerton Road, Dunsandel, Canterbury Purpose Our marketing champion, this role provides leadership and operational support in relation to Synlait s marketing and event functions. This will be achieved by maximising brand awareness and protecting the reputation of Synlait at all times through the development and management of our marketing strategy, and the delivery of highly effective marketing initiatives and events. Key Performance Areas Leadership Provide leadership and operational support to the Marketing and Communications Manager in relation to the development of our marketing strategy and the execution of our marketing and event functions. Take responsibility for supporting the development and management of the brand strategy. Operate with a focus on continuous improvement in everything you do. Key Performance Areas Marketing Support the development and maintenance of the brand positioning strategy and the Synlait Story in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications Manager. Develop and manage our marketing programme to achieve strategic outcomes, maximise brand awareness and the promotion of Synlait while protecting our reputation at all times. This will include the management of our: Marketing communications activities Customer Experience strategy Digital platforms as well as the execution of online strategies and campaigns. Branded collateral and branded assets Events and tradeshows Stakeholder surveys Shareholder and investor relations collateral Other project work when required Events Plan, organise, execute and manage highly effective events including customer and partner events, industry events, stakeholder events and other corporate events as required. Relationship Management Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with members of the Marketing and Communications team. Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the business, including the senior management team. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key industry contacts. Compliance / Risk Management Comply with all relevant company policies and delegations. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification required Experience: 5 years plus of marketing and branding experience Experience in B2B and CRM is essential with experience in B2C being highly regarded Experience across the full marketing mix including web management / marketing, above and below the line marketing, collateral development, social media, stakeholder and community engagement. Experience in working at both a strategic and tactical level Experience in the development of effective marketing communications strategies with measurable outcomes.
