Pastor Mike Metzger Bible Study and Prayer Introducing Today s Speaker Dr. John Martin President, Roberts Wesleyan College & Northeastern Seminary Dr. John Martin grew up among a family that highly valued education. His father was a professor and his mother a writer. Dr. Martin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history from Wheaton College, a Master of Theology and Doctor of Theology in Old Testament, Hebrew, and Semitic Languages from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Texas. He is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church. Dr. Martin came to Roberts Wesleyan College as Provost in 1996, with a wealth of experience in teaching and academic administration. He later served as the Executive Vice President of both the College and the newly-formed Northeastern Seminary, responsible for all academic matters, student life issues, and financial accountability. In October, 2002, he was inaugurated as the tenth President of Roberts Wesleyan College, and the second president of Northeastern Seminary. As a widely sought guest speaker and consultant, President Martin has been invited to hundreds of schools, churches and conferences in the United States and around the world. His travels have taken him to Canada, Ghana, Guatemala, India, the Philippines, Poland, Singapore, and Switzerland and Israel. He has authored or contributed to five books and numerous scholarly journal articles, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities of the State of New York, and on the Board of Commissioners of the Association of Theological Schools. Dr. Martin currently resides in North Chili, a suburb of Rochester, New York, with his wife, Kathryn Smith Martin, originally from Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Martin, a graduate of Greenville College, is also an accomplished speaker who is in demand around the country. Her many community involvements include teaching, leadership and volunteer positions at the Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church. The Martins have four sons: Christopher (April) who lives and works in Washington, DC; Cameron (Christa) who serves in the United States Army; Colin, who lives and works in Dallas, Texas; and Kyle, a teacher in Rochester, NY. They are the proud grandparents of Shiloh, Jack and Lily.

Chad Newton Fund-raisers Help support the Orphans in Myanmar (Burma) This is the orphanage that the Encounter Revival Ministry travels to and supports. All proceeds from each fundraiser will be used to support the orphans. #2 On November 24, Nathan Pitcher will offer you the fun of choosing an outfit for Pastor Grace to wear when he preaches on December 8. In the Commons, you will find a table with three containers, each representing a different costume: Hunting Outerwear; Hockey Uniform; or Military Field Wear. Place your donation in the container representing the outfit you would like to see Pastor Grace wear on Sunday, December 8.
