Led and managed a staff of seven. Four pastors, two Children s Ministry Directors and a Worship Director. Led the staff to create and implement a step-by-step process for guests to become committed church members. Worked with staff to launched new website, logo, campus signage and church management software (Seraphim). JULY 2011-MARCH 2014 RIVER S EDGE CHURCH IOWA FALLS, IA Lead Bible teacher at Sunday morning services and other church events. Led and managed a staff of two full-time and two part-time employees. Implemented a step-by-step membership process for guests to become committed church members. Along with staff we launched a successful small group ministry that grew from none to approximately four to five small groups. Transitioned the leadership of children s ministry to meet the needs of children and families more effectively. Worked with Overseer Board to implement broad vision, direction and goals for the next three to five years. The church grew by 53% (130 to 200) in 18 months. This growth caused the church to add an additional serviice. Successfully launched new church management software (Church Community Builder).

2 MINISTRY EXPERIENCE - CONT 2001-JUNE 2010 SELF-EMPLOYED LOCUST GROVE, GA MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER Abstinence educator for several Atlanta public school systems in which teens were taught and motivated to remain sexually abstinent until marriage in a style that was relevant and inspiring. Participated on the speaker s bureau of two Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Represented them and the abstinence message in public schools. Invited to address teens and their many issues at a variety of events, churches, private and public schools. JULY 2009-AUGUST 2010 CALVARY CHAPEL NEWPORT NEWS NEWPORT NEWS, VA STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR Oversaw, managed and facilitated all aspects of the spiritual growth and ministry development for two hundred middle school and high school students. Lead Bible teacher at Sunday and Wednesday services. Developed a team of adult volunteers to meet the needs of the students. Bible teachers, small group facilitators, counselors, greeters, ushers, etc. Planned, coordinated and executed all monthly youth ministry events and services. Managed a $15, yearly budget CALVARY CHAPEL MCDONOUGH MCDONOUGH, GA Planted and pastored Calvary Chapel McDonough, GA ( ). The Lord led us to plant Calvary Chapel Fayetteville, GA ( ) Lead Bible teacher at Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. Recruited, trained and developed ministry leaders to provide the infrastructure for the long term growth of the church. o o Youth, men, women, and children ministries; ushers/greeters, etc. Established and worked with internal and external leadership structures ie. Along with the Elder Team was responsible to provide pastoral care for both congregations (counseling, premarital counseling, visitations, baptisms, funerals, weddings, etc.). Managed and administrated the finances of Calvary Chapel McDonough and Fayetteville (budgeting, bills and cashing flow) CALVARY CHAPEL MONTEREY BAY MONTEREY, CA STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR Oversaw, managed, and facilitated all aspects of the spiritual growth and ministry development for 100+ students. Lead Bible teacher at Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. Developed a team of adult volunteers to meet the needs of the students (i.e. counselors, greeters, ushers, etc.) Planned, coordinated and executed all monthly youth ministry events and services. 3 MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY My philosophy of ministry flows from my understanding of Ephesians 4: This passage captures the essence of how God wants me to function as a pastor-teacher within His Church. As a pastor-teacher I am to equip the Church for service so that they may be built up, encouraged, and matured to Jesus' standard for their lives. To state it simply, I am to help people be disciples and make disciples. This is accomplished by: TEACHING THE BIBLE I want the Church to see the value of and enjoy feasting on a healthy, balanced, spiritual diet of the Word. The most effective way to do this is to teach the entire Bible. (Acts 20:27). EMPHASIZING WHAT GOD has done rather than what we need to be doing for God. DRAWING ATTENTION TO THE GRACE OF GOD All of salvation (justification, sanctification, and glorification) is a result of what Jesus did (Ephesians 2:8, 9), not on anything we do or anything we can maintain. This is why I stress the grace of God in the way I teach, serve and disciple people. REMEMBER MINISTRY BELONGS TO THE LORD Zechariah 4:6 says, "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. As a pastor I am responsible to be faithful to prepare and protect His Church not to possess it. STRIVING FOR BALANCE There are legitimate differences of beliefs and practices within the Body of Christ. However, a healthy Church doesn't focus on nor over emphasize doctrinal differences that divide the Church. LOVING Our love for each other is greater than the differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians. BEING THE SERVANT OF ALL I believe that every believer is a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered, developed, and used for the benefit of others. REMAINING FLEXIBLE At the core of remaining flexible is a heart that is confident i n and is dependent on the Lord. The moment we become excessively confident in our methods and strategies we lose the sensitivity and pliability we need to follow the Lord's guidance. PAGE 3

Represented the RPC s abstinence program in Gwinnett County s public schools. ABSTINENCE EDUCATOR INDEPENDENT GWINNETT, HENRY, COBB & FULTON, GA Contracted on a yearly basis with Gwinnett County Public Schools to implement an abstinence presentation designed for male students entitled Real Men. An approved speaker for Henry, Cobb, and Fulton County Public Schools introducing and concluding the sex education component (Choosing the Best Life) in all their nineth grade health classes.
