3 Growing in Grace... Page 1 CHURCH MEMBERSHIP CLASS Course Description - This basic introduction to our church family is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. You ll learn about our beliefs on salvation, our statements of purpose, and our church s strategy and structure. You ll also hear about the history of Date: Wed. 1/28-2/11 our church, how the five Time: 6:45-8:15 pm biblical purposes are Duration: 3 WEEKS necessary to fulfilling God s calling for your life, and the plans for the future of Suggested Donation: $0 our church. At the end of class, you ll be given the Child Care: No charge opportunity to decide whether to complete the membership process by filling out and signing the membership covenant. Instructors - Pastor Ralph Rittenhouse and Daryl Lundberg Ralph Rittenhouse, M.Div., is the Senior Pastor of Camarillo Community Church and has been for 31 years. He graduated from Florida State University in 1968 with a degree in music and from Grace Theological Seminary in Long Beach in 1983 with a Masters of Divinity. He and his wife, Jackie, have been married for 45 years. They were on the Campus Crusade for Christ staff for 14 years before coming to Camarillo in They have two grown children and six grandchildren. Daryl Lundberg has been on staff at Camarillo Community Church as the pastor of Membership Care and Outreach for over 20 years. He moved his family to Camarillo to be a part of this church in He married his wife Gloria 42 years ago last May (2013). They have 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 3 grandchildren. Daryl has a passion for people to become connected to God and this church family.

Thriving families will lead to thriving communities, and thriving communities will transform the world. People will find purpose, joy and redemption; and generation after generation will create a positive legacy. Date: Wed. 1/28-3/11 The Family Project is a 14 session DVD Time: 6:45-8:15 pm experience that explores the theological, Duration: 7 WEEKS philosophical, and cultural underpinnings of the Suggested Donation: $14 traditional family, and combines that information Child Care: No charge with inspiring stories and practical tools to help 21st-century families thrive. We will study 7 sessions this quarter and 7 sessions in the Spring quarter. Instructor - Jim Moyer Jim Moyer has been married to Gayle for 32 years. They have four adult children, one grandson, and one granddaughter. He is the Pastor of Discipleship and Family Ministries at CCC and also conducts premarital counseling. He earned a Master of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Family Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in June of Jim and Gayle have led many small groups and have mentored young married couples.

Page 3 BASIC TRAINING CLASS FOR BIBLICAL EVANGELISM Course Description - Based on the awardwinning TV series "The Way of the Master" by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort, this Basic Training Course is specially formatted to train believers in a group setting to simply and confidently share the gospel with family, friends, and strangers. It will teach you to overcome your fears by using a proven, powerfully effective way to make the gospel make sense. You will learn the forgotten biblical principle of bypassing the intellect (the place of argument) Date: Wed. 1/28-3/18 and speaking directly to the conscience (the Time: 6:45-8:15 pm place of the knowledge of right and wrong)-- Duration: 8 WEEKS the way Jesus did. You will be amazed at how using this biblical method will transform your Suggested Donation: $16 life--and the lives of others. Child Care: No charge Instructor - Mike Broder Mike has been married to Kathy for 34 years. They have five adult children Danielle, Martin, Ashley, Erin, and Joseph. and 3 grandchildren. Mike is retired and spends his time as a USA certified archery instructor at Conejo Valley Archers, a private archery club in Simi Valley. He has a Bachelor s Degree in Fine Arts and has attended Fuller Theological Seminary. Mike has studied the Scriptures for 40 years with an emphasis on prophecy and the Old Testament and has taught small home Bible studies. Mike is a member of the Discipleship Institute planning team.

ON GUARD How to defend your Christian Faith Course Description - This one-stop, howto-defend-your-faith class will equip you to advance faith conversations deliberately, applying straightforward, cool-headed arguments. You will discover not just what you believe, but why you believe, and how being on guard with the truth has the power to change lives forever. This class is based on the book and DVD, "On Guard" by Dr. William Lane Craig, a noted Christian Apologist who has publicly debated atheist activists, philosophers, Muslim apologists, liberal Christian theologians and biblical scholars around the world. Instructor - Bruce Park Bruce Park has been studying and teaching the Bible for over 30 years with an emphasis on Page 4 Date: Wed. 2/04-3/18 Time: 6:45-8:15 pm Duration: 7 WEEKS Suggested Donation: $14 Child Care: No charge PHOTO NOT AVAILABLE Prophesy and Old Testament studies. He has traveled to over 17 different countries. His travels include visiting Israel and many of the cities visited by the Apostle Paul. Bruce has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and currently is working for the Navy at the Naval Air Warfare Center at Pt. Mugu.
