POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title Senior Developer Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Position Number Reports to Manager, Solutions Development Functional Auth HRM Auth Region Sydney Date Date Function ITSC Signature Signature Role Purpose This new Senior Developer role is to provide in-house capacity in the areas of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. The role will be responsible for design, development, testing and maintenance of multi-dimensional database models, data marts, data warehousing, data transformation, data analytics, reporting solutions and dashboards using Microsoft technology stack and underlying tools. The solutions will align to the UnitingCare NSW.ACT ITSC Architecture Roadmap as part of UnitingCare organisational objective. To ensure quality solutions are delivered to the business in a consistent manner, this role is required to contribute and adhere to a common development framework and a standard build and release process based on the industry best practices. It also requires the person to collaborate with other technical and nontechnical stakeholders within UnitingCare and the Uniting Church to achieve a desirable outcome. When required, this role is expected to: write technical specification documents; liaise with vendors; perform operational support, cross-skilling other developers. This individual will work within the Business Application Group. Business Intelligence Design and Development (30%) Accountabilities Capabilities Design and develop multi-dimensional models such as Cubes, Data Views and Dimensions Recommend standard development process and methodologies Design and develop reporting applications such as BI Dashboards, reporting cubes, Excel Power Pivots templates and static reports Solutions delivered are aligned to the UnitingCare NSW.ACT ITSC technology roadmap 1. Demonstrates strong capabilities in MDX, Cubes, Reports, Charts and PerformancePoint Services for Sharepoint 2. Good understanding of MOLAP and ROLAP technologies 3. Demonstrates good experience in Information Visualisation 4. Highly skilled in SQL and SQL performance tuning 5. Demonstrates capability in understanding business requirements and ability to recommend both tactical and strategic solutions to the business 3.
