Enabling Session Cookies & Clearing Cache This document will display the appropriate steps for enabling session cookies and clearing cache that will allow the bill pay site to function properly. It is important to take the following steps within the correct browser version. Browser Types This document will cover the following browser types: First Steps Obtain the Browser Version & Number from the customer Locate the corresponding steps for enabling cookies and clearing cache listed below and walk the customer through each one in the order as they appear If the steps do not work, please contact FI Support. Editing Browser Settings Internet Explorer 7.0 Step One: On your browser toolbar, select Tools, then Internet Options. Step Two: On the General tab, in the Browsing History section, select Delete. 3

Step Three: Under Browsing History, select Delete files. A dialog box will appear asking, Are you sure you want to delete all temporary Internet Explorer files? Step Four: Select Yes. A dialog box will then display the files being deleted. This step may take a few minutes if the cache has not been cleared for a while. Step Five: On the Privacy tab, select Advanced. 4

Step Six: Verify the Override Automatic Cookie Handling and Always Allow Session Cookies check boxes are selected. Step Seven: Verify the Accept is selected for both First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies and then select OK. 5

Internet Explorer 8 and 9 Step One: On your browser toolbar, select Tools, then Internet Options. or Step Two: On the General tab, in the Browsing History section, select Delete. 6

Step Three: Clear all check boxes except the Temporary Internet Files check box, and then select Delete. A dialog box will then display the files being deleted. This step may take a few minutes if the cache has not been cleared for a while. Step Four: On the Privacy tab, select Advanced. 7

Internet Explorer 10 Step One: On your browser toolbar, select Tools, then Internet Options. 8

Step Two: On the General tab, in the Browsing History section, select Delete. The Delete Browsing History dialog box will appear. 9

Step Three: Clear all check boxes except the Temporary Internet Files check box, and then select Delete. While the browser clears itself, Internet Explorer 10 allows you to continue with the settings. Once the browser is finished deleting the files, this message will appear: Internet Explorer has finished deleting the selected browsing history. 10

Step Four: On the Privacy tab, select Advanced. Step Five: Verify Override Automatically Cookie Handling and Always Allow Session Cookies are selected. Step Six: Verify the Accept is selected for both First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies and then select, OK. 11

Mozilla Firefox for PC - 7 and up to 9 Step One: On your browser toolbar select, Tools and then Options. Step Two: Select the Privacy icon, then for the Firefox will setting in the History section, verify Use custom settings for history is selected. 12

Step Three: Select the Accept Cookies from Sites and Accept Third-party Cookies check boxes. You may select the option to Keep until They Close Firefox or They Expire. Step Four: Select the Advanced icon, and then select the Network tab. Step Five: To empty the cache, select Clear Now. 13

Mozilla Firefox for PC 10 and above Step One: On your toolbar, select Tools then Options, OR select Firefox and then Options > Options. or Step Two: Select the Privacy icon and for the Firefox will: setting in the History section, verify Use Custom Settings for History is selected. 14

Step Three: Select the Accept Cookies from Sites and Accept Third-party Cookies check boxes. You may select the option to Keep until They Close Firefox or They Expire. Step Four: Select the Advanced icon, and then select the Network tab. To empty the cache, select Clear Now in the Cached Web Content section. 15

Mozilla Firefox for Mac 7 and up to 9 Step One: On your toolbar, select Firefox and then Preferences. Step Two: Select the Privacy icon and for the Firefox will: setting in the History section, verify Use Custom Settings for History is selected. Step Three: Select the Allow Site to Set Cookies check box. You may select the options to Keep until They Close Firefox or They Expire. Step Four: Select the Advanced icon, and then select the Network tab.. Step Five: Select Clear Now next to Use up to _MB of Space for the Cache. 16

Mozilla Firefox for Mac 10 and above Step One: On your toolbar, select Firefox and then Preferences. Step Two: Select the Privacy icon and for the Firefox will: setting in the History section, verify Use Custom Settings for History is selected. Step Three: Select the Accept Cookies from Sites and Accept Third-party Cookies check boxes. You may select the option to Keep until They Close Firefox or They Expire. 17

Step Four: Select the Advanced icon, and then select the Network tab. Step Five: Select Clear Now next to Use up to _MB of Space for the Cache. Safari - 5 and up Step One: On your toolbar, select Safari and then Preferences. 18

Step Two: Select the Privacy icon and verify Never is selected for the Block Cookies setting. This is the only available option that allows session cookies. Step Three: To close the window, select the red dot in the top left corner of the window. Google Chrome 16 and up to 18 Step One: On the browser toolbar, select and Clear Browsing Data. The following dialog box appears. 19

Step Two: Select the Clear Browsing History and Empty the Cache check boxes. Step Three: From the Clear Data from this Period list, select the amount of data you wish to delete. Select The Beginning of Time to clear your entire browsing history. Step Four: Select Clear Browsing Data. Step Five: On the browser toolbar, select and Options. Step Six: On the Under the Hood tab, under the Cookie Settings section, select Allow All Cookies. Close all browsers and open a new one. 20

Google Chrome 19 and above Step One: On your browser toolbar, select and then Settings. Step Two: On the History menu, select Clear All Browsing Data. 21

The following dialog box appears. Step Three: Select the Clear Browsing History and Empty the Cache check boxes. Step Four: From the Obliterate the Following Items From list, select a list item. Select The Beginning of Time to clear your entire browsing history. Step Five: Select Clear Browsing Data. 22

Step Six: On the Settings menu, select Show Advanced Settings. Step Seven: In the Privacy section, select Content Settings. 23

Step Eight: In the Cookies section, select Allow Local Data to Be Set (Recommended). iphone Browser Settings Enabling Cookies Additional steps may be required when using the bill pay service on your iphone. The following pop up may appear stating that you must go through browser settings and enable Cookies.. 24

Step One: Select the Settings icon on your iphone. Step Two: Select the Safari option icon within Settings. 25

Step Three: Select the Accept Cookies option and then choose Always. Completed! Accept Cookies = Always 26
