WINES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SEPT 2015 WINES TIMES A Note From Dr DeYoung: Dear Wines Families, Welcome to a new school year! As you know by now, we have new staff members, new staff placements, and lots of new kids and families!! This is going to be a great year at Wines and I look forward to our year together. For our new families, this Wines Times newsletter will come out monthly. The newsletter contains lots of important information from our PTO and from the school in general. I encourage everyone to take time each month to read through the Wines Times. In addition to the Wines Times, you will receive weekly communication from me and from your child s teacher. My weekly communication will come in the form of my Wednesday Email and via my blog that can be found at http://www.winesprincipal.blogspo t.com. The blog contains the same information from the Wednesday email. Please let me know if you are not receiving my Wednesday email messages. I use an email system called SchoolMessenger for the mass emails. Although the email looks like it comes directly from me, it goes through that system and some email accounts have been known to block my mass emails. Make sure your email preferences allow emails from the Ann Arbor Public Schools and SchoolMessenger. If you ve been receiving my emails over the past couple of weeks, then you should be fine. I also encourage folks to follow me on Twitter this year. I can be found @winesprincipal. The Twitter feed will hopefully contain unique information from Wines that can keep everyone connected even more! This is going to be a great year! As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns. David 1
