The SENCO Respnsible fr: Crdinating all the supprt fr children with special educatinal needs r disabilities (SEND) and develping the schl s SEND Plicy and prvisin mapping t make sure all children get a cnsistent, high quality respnse t meeting their needs in schl. Ensuring that yu are: invlved in supprting yur child s learning kept infrmed abut the supprt yur child is getting invlved in reviewing hw they are ding Liaising with all the ther peple wh may be cming int schl t help supprt yur child s learning e.g. Speech and Language Therapy, Educatinal Psychlgy etc... Updating the schl s SEND register (a system fr ensuring all the SEND needs f pupils in this schl are knwn) and making sure that there are excellent recrds f yur child s prgress and needs. Prviding specialist supprt fr teachers and supprt staff in the schl s they can help children with SEND in the schl achieve the best prgress pssible. Class/subject teacher Respnsible fr: Quality First Teaching. Checking n the prgress f yur child and identifying, planning and delivering any additinal help yur child may need (this culd be things like targeted wrk, additinal supprt) and letting the SENCO knw as necessary. Writing Individual Educatin Plans (IEP) where required, and sharing and reviewing these with parents at least nce each term and planning fr the next term. Ensuring that all staff wrking with yur child in schl are helped t deliver the planned prvisin fr yur child, s they can achieve the best pssible prgress. This may invlve the use f additinal adults, utside specialist help and specially planned wrk and resurces. Ensuring that the schl s SEND Plicy is fllwed in their classrm and fr all the pupils they teach with any SEND. Headteacher Respnsible fr: The day t day management f all aspects f the schl, this includes the supprt fr children with SEND. The head at present is the SENCO and will give respnsibility t the class teachers but is still respnsible fr ensuring that yur child s needs are met. The head must make sure that the Gverning Bdy is kept up t date abut any issues in the schl relating t SEND. 3. Hw is extra supprt allcated t children? The schl budget, received frm Bradfrd LA, includes mney fr supprting children with SEND. The Head Teacher decides n the budget fr Special Educatinal Needs and Disabilities in cnsultatin with the schl gvernrs, n the basis f needs in the schl. The Head Teacher/ SENCO/SMT discuss all the infrmatin they have abut SEND in the schl, including: the children getting extra supprt already the children needing extra supprt the children wh have been identified as nt making as much prgress as wuld be expected Deciding what resurces/training and supprt are needed. All resurces/training and supprt are reviewed regularly and changes made as needed.

The class teacher is regularly available t discuss yur child s prgress r any cncerns yu may have and t share infrmatin abut what is wrking well at hme and schl s similar strategies can be used. The HT/ SENCO is available t meet with yu t discuss yur child s prgress r any cncerns/wrries yu may have. All infrmatin frm utside prfessinals will be discussed with yu with the persn invlved directly, r where this is nt pssible, in a reprt. IEP s will be reviewed with yur invlvement each term as apprpriate. Hmewrk will be adjusted as needed t yur child s individual needs.
