Meet the experts Your ski coach, Verena Sitzinger State qualified ski instructor & mountain guide Verena (Vreni) Sitzinger grew up in the town of Halblech in the mountainous region of the Allgäu. She grew up ski racing, but soon found it hard to wait her turn to ski down the courses whilst the rest of her family was ski-touring. Together with her father, a fully qualified mountain guide and her brother, who later became one and also climbed several of the 8000m peaks, Verena began roaming the wild mountains at a very early age, taking up telemarking and eventually becoming a ski instructor and guide with the highest qualification. Now she loves to ski instruct- on the piste and in deep snow in the big mountains- from small children to adults. In particular she loves working with women s groups and is also part of the K2 Women s Alliance. In summer she is a mountain bike guide and trainer, also for the German Alpine Club. Verena and her husband Markus, live in Füssen and run the delightful Alpin Lodge guest house throughout the year.
