Agreement and position of adjectives Agreement Adjectives need to agree in number and gender with the thing(s) they describe. If the object is feminine (e.g. starts with la or une ) you usually add an e to the end of the adjective. e.g. un garage bleu = a blue garage une chambre bleue = a blue bedroom Position of adjectives Adjectives of size such as grand = big and petit = small go before the object they describe, and other adjectives such as colours go after the object. e.g. une grande salle à manger = a big dining room une salle à manger verte = a green dining room un petit jardin = a small garden un jardin vert = a green garden The weather Quel temps fait-il aujourd hui?
