It uses standard AES 256-bit encryptin. Cnfiguring Encrypted Credential Stre Step 1: Click n Edit in the Windws menu. Select Encrypted Credential Stre. Step 2: In the pened dialgue bx, click n New. Step 3: Frm the drpdwn menu next t Type select the type f credential prtcl yu wish t cnfigure and save. The cnfiguratin f each f the three chices displayed is described in the fllwing three sectins. Cnfiguring SNMP V1 and SNMP V2c Step 1: Frm the drpdwn menu next t Type select SNMP V1/2c Step 2: Enter a friendly Name. Step 3: Enter the apprpriate Cmmunity string. Step 4: Check Shw if yu wish the cmmunity string characters t be displayed in the dialgue bx. Leave it unchecked if yu wish the characters t be bfuscated. Step 5: Click Save. Yur friendly name and related cmmunity string will appear in the drpdwn menu f the dialgue bx fr any relevant tl r gadget. Cnfiguring SNMP V3 Step 1: Frm the drpdwn menu next t Type, select SNMP V3 Step 2: Enter a friendly Name. Step 3: If a Cntext is necessary fr the prtcl being defined, check the enable bx next t Cntext and enter the cntext name in the text bx. Step 4: In User name enter the name f the user with access t the device. Step 5: In the Authenticatin sectin in the drpdwn next t Type, select the apprpriate hash functin type fr the prtcl being defined. Step 6: Enter the Passwrd and renter t verify. Step 7: In the Encryptin sectin in the drpdwn next t Type, select the apprpriate encryptin type fr the prtcl being defined. Step 8: Enter the Passwrd and renter t verify. ScriptLgic Crpratin 2010 Upgrading the Tl Suite ScriptLgic has develped a rbust framewrk fr updating sftware t make sure yur sl360 Tl Suite is running the latest versin currently available. There are tw ways the sl360 Tl Suite will update. One apprach is manual update and the ther apprach is aut update. Manual Update Step 1: Select Help -> Check fr Sftware Updates frm the tp Menu Bar. Step 2: Select Check fr Sftware Updates buttn t see if an update is available. Step 3: Select Update Nw t pull dwn the sftware updates and apply them. sl360 Tl Suite will clse and pen autmatically. Step 4: Verify the current versin in Help -> Abut. If the versin numbers is nt accurate, please cntact supprt at http://www.scriptlgic.cm/supprt/verview/. Aut Update Upn launch, the sl360 Tl Suite will check fr any updates available at the ScriptLgic patch server. The sftware will autmatically pull the updates and stre in cache. They will be applied the next time sl360 Tl Suite is launched. p25

Step 6: Click Cmpare t view anther cnfig file. It can be pulled frm disk (pen) r dwnlad frm the device. Step 7: After dwnlading bth cnfiguratins, the cmparisn is displayed in Editr View. Any differences between the tw cnfig files will be highlighted t easy identificatin. Edit Cnfiguratin File This feature allws yu t edit and uplad cnfiguratin changes t a Cisc ruter. Yu can change the entire cnfig r just ne r tw parameters. Step 1: Click Open t view cnfig file that resides n disk r; Click Dwnlad t pull the startup r running cnfig frm the device; r Click New t create a new cnfig file Step 2: Begin t Edit the cnfig file G T Sectin Quickly g t any sectin f the cnfig file Find Search fr key wrds in the cnfig file Und Will und the last change made t the cnfig file Red Applies the last edit t the cnfig file again Print Print the cnfig file Step 3: Click Uplad t put the cnfig file n the device. Step 4: Enter the IP address r Dmain Name f the device Step 5: Select the apprpriate Credentials. Use Manage Credentials t edit yur Credential Stre. This is treated as an archive and shuld be used fr any histrical cmparisn. Lcal TFTP Server IP Address Enter the IP Address f the lcal machine that is running the sl360 Cisc Cnfig tl. TFTP Server is used t cmmunicatin with the device. Use external TFTP Server withut prmpting Select if yu want t use anther TFTP Server fr Cisc Cnfig. Telnet Timeut (secnds) Set the amunt f time that Telnet will be use t cmmunicate with a device. SNMP Timeut (secnds) Set the amunt f time that SNMP will be use t cmmunicate with a device. Dwnlad/Uplad Timeut (secnds) Set the amunt f time that sl360 will be use t cmmunicate with a device. Save (Archive) Cnfiguratin File ScriptLgic Cisc Cnfig tl autmatically saves cnfig files with every dwnlad and uplad, creating a rbust archive. In additin, yu can Save at any time. Run a Traffic Jam Step 1: Type the hst name r IP Address int the Target field. This is the address t which traffic will be sent. ScriptLgic Crpratin 2010 Wake n LAN ScriptLgic Wake n LAN will bt any netwrked machine with previusly enabled capability in the BIOS by means f a magic packet frm a remte lcatin. Because an enabled netwrk interface card (NIC) is still receiving pwer, even n a shut dwn device, it keeps listening fr the unique magic packet created fr its MAC address. Upn receptin, the netwrk adapter alerts the cmputer t pwer n just as if the pwer buttn had been pressed. (Occasinally it will be necessary t reserve pwer fr the card.) Enabling Wake n LAN in the BIOS Default setting n mst servers will have Wake n LAN disabled. Yu may need t cntact yur v endr fr precise instructins fr enablement. This is meant as a general guide: First, enter the BIOS settings screen during the self-test prtin f the bt. Often F12 r DEL keys prvide access t the BIOS settings.
