Initial WebDesk Setup Mortgage Quest WebDesk Setup and Login Instructions 1. The following steps need to be performed one time only. 2. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer. 3. Enter the address: http://webdesk.emarketfocus.com/ 4. Install the Remote Desktop Active X Control when prompted. If a yellow band appears at the top of the Internet Explorer, click on it and select Allow Active X Installation. If your system is running Windows Vista, or if you have problems installing the Active X controls, please refer to the section called Resolving Setup Problems at the end of this document for steps to resolve the problems. 5. Install the Bell Business Solution Control when prompted. If it doesn t start, click the yellow band as before. 6. Please wait until the Login button becomes enabled before trying to log on. If the hour glass displays, this means the Active X controls are still being downloaded and installed. The Active X controls are loaded only once per machine, so subsequent logins are faster once these controls have successfully installed. 7. Login as described below, starting with step 3. You may want to change your login password following the procedure below. Logging into the WebDesk 1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer. 2. Enter the address: http://webdesk.emarketfocus.com/ 3. Click Login. 4. If you want to access your local computer drives from the WebDesk, mark the Connect your local drives to the remote computer checkbox. This is required to import data located on your computer or network. Note: Login is faster if this checkbox is unmarked. 5. Enter your username: 6. Enter your password 7. Click OK. To Change Your Password 1. Click Start and select Settings / Windows Security. 2. Click Password and enter your old password. 3. Enter your new password. 4. Enter the password in the Confirmation field and click OK. Using WebDesk Applications 1. The WebDesk is a windows environment that allows access to the following programs: a. Mortgage Quest

b. Microsoft Word c. Microsoft Excel d. Microsoft Outlook e. Microsoft Powerpoint 2. To start any of these applications, click Start and select All Programs and then select the application desired. Switching Between Your Local Computer and the WebDesk 1. When you are displaying the WebDesk and you want to switch to your local computer, click the minimize icon (-) at the top of the screen. The WebDesk will be minimized to your toolbar. 2. When are viewing your local computer and you want to switch to the WebDesk, click on the minimized icon labeled Remote Desktop Web Connection. Logging Off the WebDesk 1. When you are finished using the WebDesk, click Start and select Logoff. 2. Do not click the (X) at the top of the WebDesk window. This does not log you off the WebDesk. Importing Data from your LOS 1. In order to facilitate the importing of data from your loan origination software into the WebDesk environment, Market Focus has developed an export utility which must be installed to a computer that has access to the LOS data. Please download and run the following file to install the export utility: www.marfocus.com/webexport/setup.exe 2. After the utility is installed, please create a help ticket or otherwise contact Market Focus support to setup a call appointment to go through the initial import of your data. Information on creating help tickets is found below. Resolving Setup Problems There are several reasons why you might be unable to install the Active X control needed to connect to the Mortgage Quest WebDesk. For example, pop-up blockers, firewalls, internet security and anti-virus programs may block the installation. Windows Vista will also block the installation by default. However, here are some things you can try to allow the installation to proceed. Add the WebDesk site to the Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer (required for Vista) 1. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to http://webdesk.emarketfocus.com to bring up the webdesk login page. 2. With the WebDesk login page displayed in Internet Explorer, select Tools \ Internet Options.

3. Click the Security tab, highlight Trusted Sites, and click the Sites button. 4. On the Trusted Sites screen, uncheck the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone checkbox, and then click Add. 5. Click Close, and then click OK to close the Internet Options screen. 6. Refresh the Internet Explorer screen for the WebDesk login site, and then follow any prompts to install the ActiveX controls. Once the Login button is enabled, proceed to login. 7. Please try the remaining suggestions below if you are still having trouble logging into the WebDesk. Set Internet Explorer Security to Medium 1. Open Internet Explorer and select Tools \ Internet Options. 2. Click the Security Tab. 3. Click Custom Level.

4. At the bottom of the Security Settings screen, select Medium from the Reset To list. 5. Click Reset and then OK. 6. Close all Internet Explorer windows opened. 7. Follow the Initial WebDesk Setup instructions at the beginning of the document and try to log into the WebDesk. 8. If you still have problems, try using the Remote Desktop Utility described below: Remote Desktop Connection Utility (allows you to directly connect without web page login) 1. Click Start and select All Programs \ Accessories \ Communications \ Remote Desktop Connection. 2. For the Computer name, type: webdesk.emarketfocus.com. 3. Click Options. 4. For the Domain, type: webdesk. 5. For the User name, type the user name listed above in the Logging into the WebDesk section. 6. For the Password, type the password listed above. 7. Click the Local Resources tab. 8. Set the Remove Computer Sound to Do Not Play. 9. For Local Devices, unmark everything except Disk Drives. This allows you to import data from your local computer. If you don t plan to import data or need to access your local disk drives, unmark Disk Drives. 10. Click Connect. 11. If you are able to successfully log into the WebDesk and plan to print to your computer from the WebDesk, you ll need to install the UniPrint driver following the steps below. 12. If you still have problems, try disabling Pop-Up blockers, and turn off any antispyware and anti-virus programs temporarily. You may need to ask your IT department or consultant if there are internet security policies in place that prevent installing Active X controls and whether or not they can be disabled temporarily. Installing the UniPrint Driver 1. Go to http://www.uniprint.net/download.asp. 2. Click Full UniPrint Client. 3. Select your operating system. 4. Click Download UniPrint Client. Contacting Market Focus Support Market Focus has an online help desk located at http://support.emarketfocus.com. The online help desk is used for servicing all support inquiries. Login to the help desk using the e-mail address for the primary WebDesk account holder, and use the word password

as the password. Once you are logged in, click the Tickets link, and then click to add a ticket. If the person needing help is not the primary account holder, please indicate the name and e-mail address of the person needing help in the additional information section of the ticket. Alternatively, you may contact support by e-mailing support@emarketfocus.com, or by calling 800-708-9715. Responses to inquiries submitted outside of the help desk are delayed until someone at Market Focus creates a help ticket from the original inquiry information. When submitting requests outside of the help desk be sure to include the primary account holder s name, the contact information for the person needing help, and describe the question or problem as succinctly as possible.
