Download and Install the Citrix Receiver for Mac/Linux NOTE: WOW can only be used with Internet Explorer for Windows. To accommodate WOW customers using Mac or Linux computers, a Citrix solution was developed to enable authorized Mac and Linux computers to access Internet Explorer on a virtual Windows computer. Each customer must contact the WOW Administrators at wowadmin@umd.edu to request they be added to the WOW Citrix Server access list. Customers trying to download and access WOW will not be able to get to WOW if they are not on the access list. 1. Log onto VPN using the UMapps or UMaccess-MFA group profile. If you do not have the Cisco VPN software or you do not know how to use VPN, access the IT Help Desk s VPN knowledge base page for both at: https://www.itsc.umd.edu/mrcgi/mrticketpage.pl?user=&mrp=0&projectid=1&mr=11432 2. For Mac users, navigate to http://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/mac.html to get to download the Citrix receiver. For Linux users, navigate to http://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/linux.html to download the Citrix receiver. 3. Click the link Receiver for Mac (or Linux) 4. Click the Download button 5. Click Download Now and Save the file the name of the file is CitrixReceiver11.9.15.dmg 6. After the CitrixReceiver11.9.15.dmg file has finished downloading, navigate to the place where you saved the file and click on it to open it. 7. Double-click the Install Citrix Receiver icon

8. Click Continue on the Welcome screen 9. Click Continue on the Software License Agreement screen 10. Click Agree 11. Click Install NOTE: If you are unable to install this software, you should contact your Local IT Support Person for assistance. 12. Click Close when the Citrix Receiver is finished installing. 13. After the Citrix Receiver is installed, it will appear in your Applications folder. The icon looks like this:

Configuring the Citrix Receiver for WOW 1. Click and open the Citrix Receiver (configuring only needs to be performed when using the first time). 2. Copy the following server address highlighted in yellow below, then paste it in the text box as shown in the example: https://virtlab.eng.umd.edu/citrix/wow 3. Click Next 4. When prompted for user name and password, enter your Directory ID and password, and click Log On 5. In the Citrix Receiver window, you will see Warehouse on the Web listed as an application. Double-click on the Warehouse on the Web icon to launch it.

6. Press the Enter key on your keyboard when you receive the Warning screen. After you do this, Citrix will then log on. 7. Wait a few seconds and the Internet Explorer window will launch and display the WOW Home page. 8. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page to see the WOW Login button and other WOW related links. Now that you have the software and the Citrix Receiver configured, from this point on anytime you need or want to access WOW you just need to do the following: 1. Make sure you are logged onto VPN using the UMapps, UMaccess-MFA, UMD-MFA group. 2. Open the Citrix Receiver and double-click on the Warehouse on the Web icon to launch the software. 3. Press Enter on your keyboard (or click the OK button) when you receive the Warning screen. 4. Wait a few seconds for Internet Explorer to launch and display the WOW home page 5. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page if you don t immediately see the WOW Login button and other WOW related links on the page. Important Note for Mac/Linux customers exporting a file from WOW while in Citrix: If you plan to export and then save a report from WOW, be sure to do a SAVE AS and select a folder on a Local Drive. You have to keep in mind that you are actually accessing a different computer when using Citrix so the C:/ drive is the hard drive for the Citrix virtual computer. The drives on your machine will have the name Local Drive in front of the letter. If you click the Save button instead of Save As, the file will be saved to the Citrix server and then will automatically be deleted after you logout or close the session.
