Requirements WMS version: 3.6x Applications enabled on the PBX: CTIconnect PRO Zero Distance Kite Web browser: Google Chrome v. 38 Features Zero Distance MCU Conference based on Wildix WebRRTC Kite technology does not require any installation and is available for both internal and external users via a simple link or by calling an internal or local phone number. Kite WebRTC based HD Audio / Video Max 6 video/audio participants + 4 audio only participants PBX WMS Network Ready Social Networks Sign On During a conference, PC users can participate in text, audio and video conference, share the desktop, invite other participants. Those users who have entered the conference room from the phone, can participate only in the audio conference. 2. Enter the subject 3. Add participants - Click on the field Enter filter The list of the recent chat sessions opens (CTI and Kite contacts). You can select the contact from the list to invite to the conference - Start entering a user name, a phonebook contact name, or an email address. Wildix MCU Video Conference User Guide 4
To delete a participant who had been added to the list, select the contact from the list of participants and click the x icon near his or her name 4. Click Invite to create the conference room Access a conference room All the conference participants receive a notification containing a link and a phone number. Access a conference room via the link PBX users PBX users receive a notification to the CTIconnect PRO interface and can access the conference room by following the link or by calling the internal number from their office phone. Example: Kite users Kite users receive a notification directly in the chat window and can access the conference room by following the link provided or by calling the local number. External users External users receive a notification by email and can access the conference room by following the link provided or by calling the local number. Example of the letter: Dear Mario Rossi, you have been invited to a Wildix hosted conference by Elena Kornilova. You can access the conference either by opening the following url using Google Chrome: https://conference.wildix.com/room/xxxxxxx or by calling the following numbers: Italy Local Number: +39.0461.1533004 France Local Number: +33.176.747994 when asked enter the following conference id: XXXXXXX and follow the instructions. Access a conference room by calling a phone number PBX users PBX users should call the internal number from their office devices (WP, W-AIR, Web Zero Distance, Zero Distance Softphone, CTIconnect Mobile Application) and follow the audio instructions inviting them to say their names. The internal number (for PBX users) is in the folowing format: 98XXXXXXX, where 98 is the feature code to access to the conference, XXXXXXX is the conference ID number consisting always of seven digits. NOTE: While calling from Zero Distance softphone, it is necessary to first dial the feature code 98, and then follow the audio instructions which would invite you to enter the conference number (containing seven digits). External users External users should call the local number and follow the audio instructions which would invite them to enter the conference ID number and to say their name, after which they enter the conference room. Manage a conference Focus the mouse on the conference window to view the popup menu of conference management: - Start screen and applications sharing The user who is sharing his desktop, should first download the Wildix Desktop Sharing component. For the details, please read the chapter Wildix Desktop Sharing Component The viewers are not required to download or install any components. - Mute/unmute your microphone The following icon on the participant s thumbnail whose microphone is muted: Wildix MCU Video Conference User Guide 7
- Start/stop your video streaming - Open/close the chat tab To start the multiuser chat with other conference participants: - Open the chat tab - Entering the text into the input field - Press Enter In case you have unread chat messages, the chat icon shows the red notification: - Enter the full screen mode - Call the conference The icon allows you to view the phone number to access the audio conference from the phone. Participation in the audio only conference can be useful, in case of slow Internet connection or while you are on the road. PBX users when clicking the icon, can see the notification in the following format: External users when clicking the icon, can see the notification in the following format: - Invite other participants The icon is visible only to PBX users. On this stage the PBX user can invite the users in the same way as described in the chapter Create the conference (step 3) or otherwise share the link provided with any external user. - End the conference The icon is visible only to the conference moderator. The moderator s privileges The user who has created the conference becomes the conference moderator with the prerogative to: - Mute/unmute other participants - Remove the participants - End the conference Mute/unmute, remove participants Select the participant s thumbnail Click the arrow icon Click Mute to mute the participant (click Mute again to unmute) Click Remote to remove the participant from the conference End the conference Click the button in the upper popup menu of the conference management. Wildix Desktop Sharing Component Download the application 1. The first time you click on the screen sharing icon, the application offers you to download the component 2. Click on Add to download the plugin. The installation process takes several seconds. As soon as you get the following notification, the desktop streaming is ready to use: Use screen sharing 1. Click on the screen sharing icon to start the desktop sharing 2. Choose the content you wish to share (screen or application): Wildix MCU Video Conference User Guide 10
