1 Zoom Instructions and Information 1. Get Zoom set up Everyone call get a free Zoom account, go to Put in your Andrews University account and click Sign Up Free Click Sign Up A box will pop up to tell you to check your to do an account verification Click on the

2 Active the account The follow box will pop up Review the recourses for assistance Click Go to update your profile Click save changes Once done you can either join a meeting, host a meeting, or sign out

3 2. Join a Meeting Put in meeting ID if you know it Click Join 3. Start a Meeting Click on Start a Meeting Choose with out with video Active Zoom Launcher Join Audio Conference via Mic & Speaker To make sure your mic and speakers are working, click Test Mic & Speaker

4 4. Managing the Meeting a. The red X will show that your mic is not working, will need to click on settings to make changes. The left side are tabs to click on to change your settings for the audio, video, etc. Click the RED X to close the settings window b. Shows your video is working unless there is a Red X c. Click to bring up you inbox to invite people to your meeting To do an request, click which option to send out invitation Click Copy URL or Copy Invitation and paste it into an already established Same as 2 The system has Instant Messaging option that you can send a meeting invitation see IM information below. d. Allows you to manage the persons in your meeting The Zoom default is for all particpants in a meeting to come in with their audio and video hot or active

5 From this window you can Mute all or unmute all as well as the lock Screen share so only certain ones can share their screen. e. Screen share allows anyone to share their screen f. Chat allows you to do public and private chats with the members of the group Click on the person name to do a private chat g. The record button, allows you to record the meeting. It will save on your computer. h. If you click the arrows it will make the meeting full screen size i. There are two views: the Speaker View or Gallery View This is the Speaker View This is the Gallery View just click up on the name of the view to change it

6 5. Click to end the meeting a. You can either end the meeting for every one or just leave the meeting. If you were the original host, you can assign another host and let the meeting continue with out you. b. To make another person a host go to participants and put your courses in the line with the person s name and a more button appears, click more and select, Make Host 6. Set up contacts and using IM a. To open a meeting click on the Zoom icon on your computer b. Below is the page that will open Click to start a meeting with or without video Click to schedule a meeting Click to join a meeting Click on Meetings to see your person Meeting ID #, you can give this to people to join a meeting with you Click contact to Add contacts to make it easier to contact

7 o Click to plus sign to add person Adding people to your contacts page o Click on Contact o Click on the upper + sign o Click on invite other contacts by o Send them an Click chats you can chat with someone in your contacts or you can create a group o Click on New Group o Give your group a name o Select the numbers of the group o Click Create Group Group chats once a group is created it will show under chats

8 7. What to do when I get an invitation for a chat a. Click on the link in the b. Put in your username and password c. If you need to you may have to install Zoom by clicking on download 8. What to do when I get a meeting invitation - There are two ways to join a meeting without having to log into Zoom a. Meeting Room code given by the host of the meeting i. Go to ii. Click on join a meeting and put in the meeting code that you have been given iii. You may need to click on the zoom launcher, but that should only take about 5 seconds iv. A box will pop up for you to put in your name v. You will now be put into the meeting b. Invitation to a meeting arrived by i. Open the ii. Click on the link iii. Click on join a meeting and put in the meeting code that you have been given iv. You may need to click on the zoom launcher, but that should only take about 5 seconds v. A box will pop up for you to put in your name vi. You will now be put into the meeting 9. Raising Hand Select the participants button on the bottom they ll see a raise hand option
