Accessing the System NOTE: Turn off Pop-Up Blockers from the Internet Explorer toolbar. This means Pop-Up windows must be allowed for this site. For detailed instructions, see the Troubleshooting section at the end of this document. Type in the internet address http://gcglearning.kodak.com. (NOTE: do NOT type in www at the start of the address.) You will briefly see a screen that looks like this: This screen will redirect you to the Kodak LMS Log On screen: Log on to the Kodak LMS using the Username and Password you have been provided. Using the LMS in Learner Mode The Home Page LEARNER HOME Clicking on this icon in any mode will always return you to this screen LOG OFF MENU BAR LOCATION TABS are used to quickly access News, a Getting Started guide, Help and FAQs, and your Training Transcript. The content of the NEWS section changes periodically The left-hand column provides short cuts to access: Current Training (in progress) Assigned Training The CATALOG provides access to learning activities. Locating Assigned Training Assigned Training displays in the left-hand navigation area. Click the registration (icon with checkmark), or launch button (green arrow) located to the right of the Activity title to register OR click (More ) to display details about all assigned training. If a learning activity was started but not completed, the training is listed in the Current Training section. The activity can be launched from Current Training. Registering for a Learning Activity Some activities require you to before launching. A green arrow on this screen indicates an activity or document that can be launched without registration. Select a category within the catalog to access a list of learning activities. In the example below, the Sales Certification > Capture Pro Software category was selected. Scroll to view the entire list, if necessary For courses that require registration: Click the Register button. Using Kodak LMS USC FEB 20 2009.doc 5

Click the Submit button. In this example, there is one course for registration. In other learning activity structures, you may be required to select one or more courses from a list. The Activity Details screen displays. Click the green arrow to launch the course. Using Kodak LMS USC FEB 20 2009.doc 6

Launching Learning Activities Adobe Presenter courses After launching, the course loads (this is streaming video so the entire file does not download before it starts to play.) The message says, Online activity in progress. Please do not close this page. You will be redirected to the progress details page when finished. Navigation Navigation Progress Volume control Click the paperclip icon to view attachments for downloading. Watch the presentation in its entirety to receive credit on your training transcript. NOTE: If you want to print a screen from the presentation, push the Print Screen key on your keyboard (usually found in the top row of keys) open a new Word document, then paste (Edit > Paste or Ctrl+V). NOTE: If you launch a course and it appears to hang on the white screen, you may have a "Pop Up Blocker Error" message below the Internet Explorer (IE) tool bar. Right click on the Pop Up Blocker Error message and select to "Always allow Pop Ups" from this site. This will correct the issue and courses will immediately launch. The Pop Up Blocker function can also be found under the IE Tool menu. If you are still having problems, you may need to remove Yahoo and Google toolbars from your Internet Explorer browser. (Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove programs. Refer to the troubleshooting section at the end of this document. Webcasts (recorded WebEx files) After launching, the course loads. WebEx controller details: Navigation panel Volume controls Progress In some courses, the message, "Have you completed this activity?" may appear when you close an online activity. Respond to this prompt by choosing Yes or No. If you choose Yes, the activity will display in your Training Transcript. If you choose No, the activity will remain in your Current Training. Viewing Your Training Records Your training transcript is a list of your completed training. The score and grade are shown if appropriate. Using Kodak LMS USC FEB 20 2009.doc 10

Your Training Schedule shows current, completed and upcoming activities. 1. From the Learn menu, select Training Schedule. 2. Security Check Use SSL 2.0 for security Check Use SSL 3.0 for security Troubleshooting If you have launched a course but it seems to hang on a white screen, you may have an issue with a Pop-up Blocker: Look for a "Pop Up Blocker Error" message below the Internet Explorer (IE) tool bar. Right click on the Pop Up Blocker Error message and select to "Always allow Pop Ups" from this site. This will correct the issue and courses will immediately launch. The Pop Up Blocker function can also be found under the IE Tool menu. If you are still having problems, you may need to remove Yahoo, Google or AOL toolbars from your Internet Explorer browser. You may be unaware that these toolbars are loaded. To locate additional toolbars, select View >Toolbars. From the Start menu, select Control Panel >Add or Remove programs to remove the toolbars. Google Toolbar: - Click on the Settings button and select Options - Click on the More tab - Uncheck Enable Popup Blocker Yahoo Toolbar: - Click on the Pop-Up Blocker menu - Uncheck Enable Pop-Up Blocker Norton Internet Security: - Double Click on the Norton Icon in the System Tray - Click Ad Blocking - Click Turn Off AOL Toolbar: - Click on the AIM button and choose Toolbar Options - Click on Popup Blocker tab - Uncheck the Block Popup Windows box Loading the Flash Player and Adobe Reader Some of the content on the learning system requires additional applications, such as: Adobe Flash player The Adobe Flash player is free and is often already loaded on most PCs. To download the most current version of the player, go to: www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ Note: Corporate users may require Administrative rights in order to download and save the player. Adobe Reader Adobe Reader is free and is often already loaded on most PCs.
