Speaker s Biodata Dr. Sariwati Mohd. Shariff, an associate professor has served the Faculty of Business Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam for thirteen years from 2000 2013. She teaches both degree and postgraduate courses on Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management, Project and Quality Management, and Operations Management as well as being the resource person for these courses. Having a degree in electrical engineering, masters in technology management and certificate as registered OSH Officer from NIOSH (2008), she had
twenty years of manufacturing experiences in the semiconductor and audio industry for MOTOROLA in Sungai Way and AIWA ELECTRONICS in Johor from 1982 2000 as Senior Quality and Final Test Engineer. As an academic staff, she had published several academic books on the taught courses, conference proceedings and journals on her areas, and supervises several postgraduate students in applied business research (ABR) and doctoral program. She is also involved as panel examiners for ABR, Master and Matriculation programs with the Faculty, MITRANS and Ministry of Education. Her doctoral study with Universiti PUTRA Malaysia focused on industrial training on undergraduates in the manufacturing industry. Currently, she is the Head of Postgraduate Studies in Malaysia Institute of Transport (MITRANS), which is a research centre in transport and logistics in UiTM Shah Alam from 2012 till present.
