To provide participants with a general knowledge of the Singapore Legal System and the laws to enable them to appreciate and evaluate the impact of the legal system and laws on their work in facility management (FM) or related field. 2. To enable participants to acquire and apply their knowledge of contract, negligence, property & building law and also the law of trespass, nuisance & occupiers liability to their practice or their work in facilities or related management. 3. To enable participants to acquire and use their knowledge of technical and related laws & legislations including Fire Safety Act, Land Title (Strata) Act, Environmental Pollution Control Act, Environmental Public Health Act & Factories Act in order to support their work in facilities or related management. He has been for many years an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration, National University of Singapore, and teaching Business Law in the MBA programme. He specializes in Business Contracts, Negligence, Risk Management, Information Technology, Intellectual Property, Facilities Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, Engineering and Building Laws. He is a very experienced lecturer and trainer and is well-versed in the engineering, technical, OSH & facilities management fields, marketing and management practice too. Mr Lee brings with him considerable industrial, occupational safety & health, project and facilities management experience, having worked as an engineer in-charge of facilities management in a government ministry and later as a project manager in a leading Multi-national engineering and construction corporation serving the oil and gas industries onshore and offshore.

5 TERMS & CONDITIONS COURSE REGISTRATION Registration Any registration, whether on-line or fax will be on a first-come-first-served basis and will only be confirmed upon receipt of full payment by The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) unless otherwise invoice to company. All registrations must be submitted with duly completed registration form. registrations will not be accepted. Closing Date & Payment The closing date of the event will be 7 days prior to event commencement date. Withdrawals/Refunds of Fees Notice of withdrawal must be given in writing to IESA. Policy on refund of course fee is as follows: FULL refund if we receive your written notice of withdrawal at least 7 working days before the commencement of the Event. NO refund otherwise. No show of participant would not be accepted as reason for withdrawal/refund. Replacement is allowed but restricted to once only. Replacement will be allowed only if written notice is received by us at least 3 working days before the commencement of the event. However, when an IES member is replaced by a non-member, the participant has to pay the difference in the relevant fees at least 3 days before the commencement date. Cancellation/Postponement Changes in Venue, Dates, Time and Speakers for the Events can occur due to unforeseen circumstances. IES reserves the full rights to cancel or postpone the Event under such circumstances without prior reasons. Every effort, however, will be made to inform the participants or contact person of any cancellation or postponement. Fees will be refunded in FULL if any Event is cancelled by IESA.
