Fibaro Intercom for ipad
Introduction Fibaro Intercom is a VoIP application designed for Fibaro Home Center 2 controller. It can be integrated with the Fibaro ipad or iphone application as a mobile audio/video communication center. Fibaro Intercom app allows you to communicate with other ios mobile devices equipped with this app, video entry systems and other VoIP compatible devices. Application is designed for use with Fibaro Home Center 2 having software version 3.902 or newer and devices equipped with ios. I Downloading and preparing ipad application 1. Visit App Store, download and install Fibaro application for your device. 2. Download and install Fibaro Intercom application for your device.
3. Open Fibaro application and click Next. 4. Skip the remote access step.
5. Fibaro app will now scan for Home Center controllers, choose the one you want to use. 6. Type in login and password for your HC2 gateway and press Next.
7. Application will confirm connection with HC2 if successfully logged in.
II Configuring Intercom application 1. Once you are logged into HC2, open Fibaro Intercom application by clicking the Intercom icon at the bottom of the main screen. 2. If prompted, overwrite Fibaro Intercom settings as shown below.
3. Application will ask you to create a new VoIP Client account for your device. Choose recognizable username and press Save.
III Integrating Helios intercom and Home Center 2 Configuration interface 1. Download Fibaro Finder app from our website (http://www.fibaro.com/en/support). Install and open Fibaro Finder. Select your Home Center 2 gateway and click Connect. 2. Login into the HC2 configuration interface using you user credentials.
3. Open the plugins section, choose the Available category and search for the Helios plugin. Choose the plugin depending on the type of license you have acquired for your Helios intercom. If you have the Enhanced Integration or Gold license choose Helios Gold plugin, Helios Basic otherwise. Click "Install" button. Regardless of which plugin you choose, process of configuration will stay the same. If you want to learn how to apply the Helios license, refer to the section VIII of this manual or 2N Helios website.
4. Click "Free" button to install the plugin. 5. After the installation is complete click the "Add" button to add a new device.
6. Interface will allow you to configure the new device. Choose a name for the device and assign it to a room if you want.
7. In the advanced settings section click "Search" button to find your Helios device. 8. HC2 will now scan your network for compatible devices. Select the device you want to add.
9. Type in the user name and the password for this device. If you have forgotten your login or password, check your Helios intercom instruction manual. 10. In the bottom section of the advanced settings you can assign a key code to your VoIP user. It will allow you to call Fibaro Intercom app by dialing selected code on the Helios intercom keypad. Select Fibaro Intercom user and code to assign. 11. Save the configuration by clicking button on the right interface bar.
V Modifying VoIP user s settings and configuring key code calls 1. To change the settings of a VoIP client open the "Panels" section and choose "VoIP Panel" in the menu. Enter the client settings by clicking button on the bar. 2. Configuration screen of selected VoIP client. 3. Save configuration by clicking button on the right interface bar.
VI Using Fibaro Intercom application 1. Once you've created an account you should see the main Fibaro Intercom screen. All VoIP users and devices connected to your HC2 are listed on the right side. If the device you configured earlier is not listed, restart Fibaro Intercom application. 2. Buttons explained: - Call another user or device - Open door lock connected to a device - Change the avatar for your account - Switch between the front and back camera - Turn on/off the microphone - Turn on/off the camera
3. Application will show you the history of your calls.
VII Answering calls with the Fibaro Intercom interface 1. You can call your mobile device from another device with the Fibaro Intercom app or Helios intercom by dialing the key code selected in IV.10 section of this manual. 2. Fibaro Intercom will display avatar and name of the VoIP user calling you. You can answer or reject the call.
VIII Configuring license settings of the Helios 2N intercom 1. Every Helios intercom comes with Basic License by default. If you have acquired an enhanced license you must activate it. In order to do that, open your web browser and type in the IP address of your Helios intercom in the address box. You can find the IP address of the device by scanning your network with HC2 as shown in IV.7 section of this manual. Log into the configuration panel. Check the Helios device instruction if you have forgotten your login credentials. 2. Open license settings located in the System panel and type in your license key in the respective box.
3. Save license settings by clicking button. 4. Configuration panel will validate your license.
