TEEN - YOUNG ADULT PROGRAMS @ THE LIBRARY Teen Summer Reading Program! Participating is an easy and fun way to reward yourself for continuing to read over the summer. Not only will your maintain (or increase your current reading level), but you will receive great prizes each week. Just keep track of the titles (or number of pages) you've read on your reading log, then visit the library and claim your free prize. You must be a Franklin Lakes resident entering sixth grade to twelfth grade to register. Extra Credit: Write a one paragraph book review for every book you've read, include the title, the author, a brief summary of the story and whether you recommend it or not. Email your review to: teens@franklinlakes.bccls.org. Each time you email a book review, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a great prize. The winner will be announced at our End of Summer Reading Party on Tuesday, August 25 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Art Kids Academy Wednesday, August 5th 3:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. Learn to draw your own superhero! All materials supplied. You must to in 5th grade to register for this program. Call the Children's Reference Desk @ 201-891-2224 x 120 for more info and to register. You might choose to teach a class on something you are really good at - for example, would you like to show a group of teens how to make duct tape bracelets, origami, decorate flip-flops or sneakers beading, nail art, scrapbooking, rock painting, knitting, or simply show off your favorite apps? Our 2015 Summer Reading Club theme this year is "EVERY HERO HAS A STORY" Franklin Lakes readers and pre-readers of all ages are encouraged to join our 2015 summer reading program. Visit the Children's Department and sign-up in person anytime during regular library hours. Every member of the Summer Reading Club receives a prize just for joining! Read as many books as you like throughout the summer and keep a record of how many you've read on your official reading log. Then let us know how you're doing when you visit the

library. Check in with us weekly and receive your prize! It's that easy! EVERY HERO HAS A STORY Reading Club begins Monday, June 22nd and ends Monday, August 17th. Color Your Cares Away: Coloring for Grown Ups! Wednesday, August 19th 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Touted as a therapeutic source of creativity and relaxation, adults everywhere are rediscovering coloring! Come to the library and de-stress as we color between and outside of the lines. Coloring sheets and colored pencils will be provided. Adults only please. No registration is required.

Friday Morning Book Club Meets at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend this monthly book club which meets in the Local History Room on the 3rd Friday of each month.
