THE RETRIEVER SYSTEM ENSURES Accurate vehicle positioning due to superior coverage Every tracking system on the market relies on communication with the unit in the vehicle. The Retriever system uses the GSM (Global Systems for Mobile Communications) network the most extensive, reliable and fastest growing communication network currently available to the vehicle tracking industry. Advanced use of GSM technology not only enables our recovery teams to accurately locate a vehicle, but also allows the client to track the movement of their vehicles via the internet. The GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology employed by our comprehensive fleet management package provides the user with pinpoint accuracy in the monitoring of their fleet. Cross-border coverage and recovery Every Retriever unit is equipped with international roaming capabilities, and can therefore be tracked beyond Kenya borders where roaming arrangements exist. Secondary radio beacons also enable ground response teams to locate vehicles in areas where GSM coverage may be sparse. Effective installation and concealment The inventive design of the Retriever unit makes it extremely compact, thus allowing for its effective concealment. Installations are carried out by trained Retriever technicians and electronic connections are kept to a minimum so as not to interfere with the vehicle s systems. For added customer convenience, our fitters will install the unit at a suitable location requested by the client. Free 24-hour unit testing service Retriever provides its clients with a free, 24-hour unit testing service. All it takes is one call to the Retriever control centre, and a test will immediately be carried out. Power monitoring The Retriever system uses the vehicle s battery as its main source of power. In the event of the battery power being disconnected, the unit switches to an internal backup battery. Power failure conditions are also continually monitored to further facilitate recoveries. 2

De-installation/re-installation services In the event of a change of vehicle ownership, or if the client wishes to transfer his tracking unit from one vehicle to another, Retriever will de-install/re-install the unit for a minimal fee. Unit and installation warranty Retriever offers a one year warranty on both the unit and the installation. Since we are accredited by both the insurance and motor industries, Retriever guarantees that our unit installations will not affect your vehicle manufacturer s warranty in any way. PRODUCT AND SERVICES Stolen Vehicle Recovery Systems and Basic Vehicle Monitoring Basic fleet monitoring features add enormous value to our stolen vehicle recovery systems and are available on all units except the Quick. Retriever s basic fleet monitoring technology allows for approximate vehicle positioning as well as providing the user with a host of additional features. These include: Internet based access (no additional software required) Assistance via a 24-hour vehicle tracking control centre Live positions (obtained in as little as 27 seconds) Vehicle positioning reports Asset Track This product communicates GPS position via GPRS and is designed as a self-contained tracking unit that can be easily attached to most assets. It offers the most effective way to track and trace virtually any moveable asset! Features of this unit includes: Positioning at pre-determined intervals, up to three times per day,depending on clients requirements. Small discreet device which is entirely self-powered with a long-life battery (up to 3 years, depending on usage). Typical applications include periodic positioning of assets such as generators, valuable equipment or machinery, containers, trailers, crates and any moveable items. Tracking is done via Retriever s powerful, web-based system on detailed maps as is provided on the standard fleet pages. 3

Fleet SAT Retriever s Fleet Sat offering is the answer to keeping track of your assets anywhere in the world 24/7/365. Fleet Sat provides an effective, global monitoring solution for transporters that operate across the length and breadth of Africa. Since it is satellite based, it solves all the challenges that come with cellular technology in African countries such as unavailable or unreliable networks and expensive roaming charges or can be used for positioning vehicles/assets which operate outside any GSM network. Until now most satellite products have been seen as expensive, but with Fleet Sat we offer you a cost effective global monitoring solution tailored to your fleet requirements. Comprehensive Fleet Management Our Comprehensive Fleet Management package assists the fleet manager in achieving greater productivity. This product combines the standard features of our stolen vehicle recovery systems, plus a separate GPS unit capable of managing all the inputs and outputs required for the processing of fleet management data. In addition to the standard features available on our stolen vehicle recovery systems, the fleet management package offers the following: Movement sensing Alerts on rapid acceleration, exceeding the set speed limit, excessive idling, harsh braking/cornering Accurate GPS positioning and route history Odometer reports Replays on all travelled routes The creation and management of geofences (user-defined areas) Management reports Data streamed by GPRS Fleet Lite Our Fleet Lite offering includes all of the below benefits, but excludes Stolen Vehicle Recovery. OPTIONAL FLEET FEATURES Driver ID Fleet Managers will be able to identify which driver is driving which vehicle at any given time, through the use of driver ID tags. Dependant on usage allocation, the Fleet Manager may also allocate the tags for private and/or business trips. Start Inhibit Vehicles will not start up in the event of a driver attempting to start a vehicle without a driver ID tag. Logbook The Logbook displays all trips the vehicle has undertaken. The client may, at the click of a button, run reports on personal vs. business usage, for tax purposes. A description of the trips may also be added. Reports are downloadable into Excel format for ease of use. Fuel Monitoring This feature is a connection to the vehicle s fuel sender unit, providing fuel level readings in real time. The level of accuracy is equivalent to the accuracy of the vehicle s own fuel gauge. Important: To calibrate successfully, you are required to perform three successive re-fuels by filling the fuel tank from empty to full after the fitment has taken place. Fuel data will only become available after the third successful re-fuelling. 5
