Total Asset Tracking System (TATS) Description of TATS Tracking Unit TAT is a new state-of-the-art asset tracking and management device; it is a standalone device for complete fixed and mobile asset tracking, aimed at asset management, inventory control, loss prevention and freight security. It is a small, Web-based application, self-powered standalone tracking device, designed for outdoor use that effectively and rapidly identifies the locations of trailers or containers and ensures the integrity of goods therein. It is a standalone device, used for fixed and mobile asset tracking that can be deployed for inventory control, cargo integrity, and prevention of asset theft. The unit does not require connection to a power source and is powered by a long-life lithium polymer battery with up to nearly 3 Years operational life before it needs recharging. It is easily installed and can be programmed over the air as well as via serial cable. Its state machine works with a built in motion sensor to switch between wake and sleep state.
