WELCOME TO BELL STATE BANK & TRUST BUSINESS ONLINE BANKING! Use this guide to assist you in using Bell State Bank & Trust Business Online Banking, an online cash management system that will help your company manage its cash position quickly and effectively. Some of the features of our online system are: Overview The Overview is a dashboard overview of your Bell State Bank & Trust business relationship. From this you can see your account balances, view recent activity and easily transfer money. Alerts You can receive email alerts regarding balance information, incoming wires, and new messages sent by Bell State Bank & Trust Business Online Banking. Quick Tools Quick Tools allows you to easily transfer money between accounts from the home. Transfer templates can be created, or you can select a From and To account from the drop-downs to complete the transfer. INTERNET EXPLORER 8 COMPATIBILITY MODE To maximize your Business Online Banking user experience, it is recommended that you have your Browser Mode set to Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility View. 1 Open an Internet Explorer Browser and click Tools (or click F12). From the drop-down select Compatibility View.
LOGIN It s easy to log in to Bell State Bank & Trust s Business Online Banking. Go to https://www.bellbanks.com. From the Secure Login To dropdown, select Business Online Banking. 2 Enter your Username and Password, and click Login. Upon initial login, you will be asked to change your password and setup challenge questions.
Set up Challenge Questions. SECURITY ON YOUR COMPUTER The first line of defense to securing your financial information with online banking is PROTECTING AND PRESERVING your information. We recommend the following to safeguard your online banking: Bell State Bank & Trust Business Online Banking passwords must be between 8 and 32 characters in length and contain at least one letter and one number. Special characters are not allowed. Do not share or write down your Username and Password. Employ industry-accepted practices for securing your computer against threats such as malicious software and intrusions. These practices may include: > Continuously updating anti-virus/anti-spyware solutions and regular scanning > Automatic application of software updates and security patches > Network firewall configurations and logging > Intrusion prevention systems > Zero-day threat protection > Security awareness training for employees An industry best-practice recommends using a dedicated computer not used for email or other Web browsing to access Business Online Banking. Consult your computer administrator for assistance in implementing security measures appropriate for your environment. HOME > OVERVIEW This dashboard provides: Balance information providing daily cash position Detailed account information by clicking on any account name Recent account activity Quick access to make a transfer Upcoming Transactions Secure messages from Bell State Bank & Trust The initial screen is the Overview within the Home tab. 4 In the Account Balances section of the dashboard, the Ledger, Available and Collected Balance are shown. Ledger Balance Current day s beginning balance, which is the end of day balance from previous day plus or minus Today s real time posted transfers. This balance does not take into consideration Today s memoposted transactions such as incoming ACH and debit card transactions. Available Balance The amount of funds that are available to the customer for withdrawal or transfer to other accounts. Funds are available from check deposits on the first business day after the date of the deposit, but may not be collected due to the bank s collection process. Collected Balance Ledger balance less the amount of check deposits that the bank is in the process of collecting on customer s behalf. This balance should be used when making account transfers, originating wire funds transfers and/or submitting ACH files, to avoid incurring an uncollected funds fee. Banks assess an uncollected funds fee on negative collected balances when funds are drawn on before they are collected.
You can easily transfer funds between accounts from the home under Quick Tools. By clicking the Recent Transactions tab, you will be able to view your recent transactions by account. HOME > SUMMARY 5 The Summary submenu gives you a quick snapshot of the business s cash position for accounts online.
REPORTING > ACCOUNT PORTFOLIO Account Portfolio allows you to obtain your ledger balance, available balance, and collected balance for all of your online accounts at a quick glance. Click on account name to access your account details and transactions (see screen below). Account Details can also be accessed directly from the Overview by clicking on the account name. 6 The Account Details includes current day activity, account history and other account information such as: Interest Information Transaction Search Account history is available for 180 days* Checks/Deposit Images Images are available for 180 days * History starts building the day the account is set up online.
To view the details of another account, click the drop-down arrow and select the account name. To change the sort order, click on the column header. REPORTING > WIRE ACTIVITY 7 Wire Activity allows you to see incoming and outgoing wires. * A separate agreement is required to originate outgoing wire transfers online.
REPORTING > DOWNLOAD ACCOUNTS The Download Accounts feature allows you to easily reconcile your accounts by exporting your account information in a CSV, Quicken or QuickBooks file format. When you download the account information, it can be saved to your computer in electronic format. REPORTING > STATEMENTS 8 To access your bank statements, select a checking or savings account from the account drop-down list. Online statements date back to January 2008 and will be available for 7 years.
STOP PAYMENTS The Stop Payments function allows you to enter a single stop payment or a stop payment on a range of checks. STOP PAYMENTS > STOP CHECK NUMBER RANGE 9 STOP PAYMENTS > PENDING STOPS In addition, you can view your Pending Stop payments.
TRANSFERS > CREATE TRANSFERS The Transfers function allows you to create transfers, manage transfer templates, view pending transfers and access transfer history. 10 The Create Transfer function allows you to enter single or multiple one-time transfers between accounts.
TRANSFERS > MANAGE TEMPLATES Manage Templates allows you to add, modify and delete transfer templates that are used in the Quick Tools section on the Overview. TRANSFERS > PENDING TRANSFERS Pending Transfers allows you to view or delete a scheduled transfer prior to processing. 11 TRANSFERS > TRANSFER HISTORY Transfer History provides details of previously submitted transfers.
ALERTS > MANAGE ALERTS Manage Alerts allows you to edit, disable or delete current email alerts on your Bell State Bank & Trust accounts. ALERTS > ADD ALERTS The Add Alert function allows you to set up email alerts for specific activities on your Bell State Bank & Trust accounts. 12 Note: Contacts must be set up before creating alerts. ALERTS > MANAGE CONTACTS Manage Contacts allows you to add, edit or delete your alert contacts.
OTHER SERVICES The Other Services function allows you to access a variety of tasks, settings and preferences. QUICK LINKS 13 For your convenience, the Quick Links are located at the top right-hand corner of each to give you quick access to Print, Help and Logout.
