28 31 July 2014 the airport commercial development and management course is the only specialist course of its kind in the southern hemisphere. This intensive residential course combines lectures from leading industry professionals with interactive working sessions and a real-life terminal planning group exercise. Attendees benefit from the organisers' experience of running the annual Airport Commercial Revenue Development workshop in collaboration with Cranfield University, now in its 15th year. Course overview and learning objectives The course provides participants with expertise and insight into all core aspects of a successful airport commercial environment. It supports them in developing a deeper understanding of their own role and their organisation s role within the context of the wider airport commercial environment and helps them develop strong and successful relationships with all key airport stakeholders. CPI's course directors join with local subject matter experts to deliver a relevant and contemporary course focused on the customer. Core subject areas include commercial planning and forecasting, airport advertising, the role of car parking and the commercial significance of developing the right airport retail and F&B mix for your airport. Additional sessions include targeting premium Asian customers, the importance and role of digital and mobile, and airport branding and marketing. This is an all-encompassing course for airport commercial teams. However, it should not be limited to just commercial. Delegates will work in groups throughout the course, presenting their solutions and rationale for redeveloping the terminal to optimise its commercial potential on Day 4. Speakers FRANK GRAY Frank is the founder and Managing Director of CPI and is based in the UK. He has been involved in airport commercial development for almost 40 years, first with BAA, then with Houston Airports, Texas and, since 1990, as a consultant. SUSAN GRAY Susan established CPI Australia, the Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand office of CPI in 2010. She previously held senior business development, client relations and corporate communications and branding roles at SSP, the specialist airport food and beverage operator. JEREMY CORFIELD Jeremy is a CPI Director and Consultant. An advertising specialist, Jeremy has extensive commercial experience in the areas of contracts, negotiations and business development.
