Edge Technlgies Integratin Summary enprtal s patented Cntent Retrieval System (CRS) was built frm the grund up using cuttingedge Java and JSP technlgy, and was develped specifically t address single sign-n and integratin requirements. Thrugh this secure integratin platfrm, enprtal is able t ffer BMC custmers the ability t extend the pwer f their existing BSM implementatin. enprtal integrates with BMC Business Services Management applicatins thrugh its pre-build BMC Prduct Integratin Mdules (PIMs). enprtal PIMs are pre-built, plug-and-play integratin packages that prvide built-in hks int web-based applicatins. By using prxy technlgy, enprtal enables BMC prduct integratins and single sign-n with n additinal cding and n changes t the back-end applicatins. Figure 1: This figure illustrates data flw between the BMC applicatin servers and client brwser, thrugh the enprtal server using prxy technlgy. Each BMC PIM allws enprtal t recgnize user names, security specifics, and a wide variety f ther variables already established within each applicatin. Each PIM prvides pre-built channels thrugh enprtal, s applicatin specific data can be easily accessed thrugh the enprtal GUI.
