3 History KellyMitchell was started in 1998, taking its name from the children of its owners. Previous Boeing employees started this organization with the belief they could provide the same high quality technology professional services as the Big 4 consulting firms to Fortune 500 companies; however, delivering with a superior level of customer service in a more cost-effective manner. From that day on, KellyMitchell has not only proven its capabilities, but that its philosophy is sound. 8 St. Louis employers lament lack of work-ready applicants St. Louis Business Journal - by Matthew Hibbard Date: Thursday, August 11, 2011, 1:55pm CDT Roughly two-thirds of St. Louis employers are finding it difficult to find qualified talent in the area, according to a new report. St. Louis companies are receiving applications from job seekers with adequate technical training for positions but many applicants lack basic soft skills such as work ethic, discipline, critical thinking and interpersonal skills, according to the survey of 1,218 employers in the region as part of a St. Louis Community College survey. More than a third of St. Louis employers said applicants lack a willingness and ability to learn, and don t have the ability to collaborate as part of a team.
