Duties: design of study, development of a coding scheme, data collection, data analysis, first author of journal article and conference posters Senior Laboratory Technician, Supervisor: Dr. Megan R. Gunnar, Pubertal Stress Recalibration Hypothesis Study purpose: explore how transitions before, during, and after puberty recalibrate the stress response system Duties: recruiting families for participation, performing subject sessions according to the Trier Social Stress Test model of evaluation, interviewing participants about current stressors, and giving input on study implementation Undergraduate Research Assistant, Supervisor: Dr. Philip D. Zelazo, Concept Training and Executive Function Intervention Study Study purpose: intervention study was designed to improve executive function abilities through concept training tasks in children ages 3-4 years Duties: running participants in multiple conditions, brainstorming and adding to effectiveness of intervention tasks, overseeing and training other research assistants, and recruiting families for participation Self-Control and Attention Training Study Study purpose: test the effects of two interventions designed to improve social competence and executive function in a sample of internationally adopted children ages 5-10 years Duties: running participants in the pre-intervention and post intervention conditions, monitoring EEG data and psychological testing computer programs during the sessions, facilitating parent questionnaires, and recruiting families for participation.
4 Updated October 2015 Page 4 of 5 Pubertal Onset and Public Speaking Study Study purpose: analyze the scaffolding effect of parental social support during a socio- evaluative public speaking task designed to induce stress in prepubescent and post-pubescent adolescents ages years. Duties: recruiting families for participation, monitoring group status of participants to fill necessary quotas, and organizing data for internal audit purposes. Transition into the Family Study Study purpose: look at the transition period into a new family setting after adoption from an international orphanage or institution. Duties: entering and organizing data in a database and checking for data accuracy Undergraduate Research Assistant, Supervisor: Dr. Nikki R. Crick, Relational and Instrumental Aggression Study Study Purpose: investigate physiological responses to instrumental and relational aggression in children during middle childhood (9-10 years) Duties: interviewing participants, monitoring physiological data (blood pressure, skin conductance, and heart rate), transcribing session recordings, and recruiting families for participation.
