I am interested in the role of neighborhood distress specifically living in a dangerous neighborhood as a stressor leading to adverse health outcomes, and the racial inequality in neighborhood distress that may help to explain racial disparities in health. Furthermore, I am interested in the role of social policy in reducing health disparities through programs that aim to improve distressed neighborhood contexts. Analyzed changes in service and activity-use of children who moved through the Gautreaux 2 program, and used mixed-methods analysis to examine neighborhood danger and safety in MTO.
