This means the understanding of information and communication technologies in tourism as well as the development of new media applications and the media consumer adoption. Furthermore there is an emphasis on leadership, social skills and foreign languages. Destination management can include land use planning, business permits, environmental and other regulations, business association initiatives and a host of other techniques to shape the development and daily operation of tourism-related activities. Our aim within this specialisation is to deepen your knowledge in Visitor Management, Imagineering, Product Development, Attraction Management and Finance. Thus the management of such establishments is very challenging and interpersonal competences are very important. As a manager you need to be flexible enough to anticipate and meet a wide variety of needs. Within this specialisation you gain detailed knowledge in Controlling, in the Development of Innovative Products & Imagineering, in Strategic Controlling and Business Planning. The attractive building complex was completed in 2005 in green surroundings and in close proximity to the baroque Schloss Urstein and the medieval Meierei. The modern building with its architecturally striking head, which houses the library, provides an ideal setting for your studies. From the local train (S-Bahn) station located directly at the campus, you can reach Salzburg s city centre within a very short time. In addition, Salzburg s countryside provides a superb surrounding for any sports activity you might practice. Sport & Nature Our sports department offers students a diverse programme of courses and training every semester. As students of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, you can use the facilities of the University and Sport Centre in Rif. Alternately, you can simply explore nature outside your front door.
