You may be admitted to graduate studies at Barry Uiversity i ay of Barry s ie colleges ad schools: Arts ad Scieces, Busiess, Educatio, Huma Performace ad Leisure Scieces, Law, Nursig ad Health Scieces, Podiatric Medicie, Professioal Ad Career Educatio, ad Social Work. 2. Graduate degrees are grated at the master s, specialist, ad doctoral levels. 3. Teacher certificatio/recertificatio programs are available i a umber of cotet areas. 4. Admissio to a degree program is based o academic performace i all work from regioally accredited or iteratioally recogized colleges or uiversities, submissio of the appropriate etrace exam scores whe required, ad additioal requiremets as specified by the departmet/program to which you are applyig. 5. A admissio decisio caot be reached util your file is curret ad complete. 6. It is your resposibility to esure that all required credetials are forwarded to the Office of Graduate Admissios. 7. The admissio process begis whe the applicatio ad applicatio fee are received i the Office of Graduate Admissios. 2. Upo receipt, a ackowledgemet will be set to you. 3. The followig documets must also be submitted: all trascripts, required recommedatios, statemet of purpose, etrace exam scores (if applicable), teachig certificate or licesure (if applicable). A resume or portfolio ad/or persoal iterview may also be required by some programs. 4. Whe all ecessary documetatio is received, the file will be forwarded to the appropriate school. 5. A decisio will be redered by the school. 6. After a decisio is made, a message will be posted at your mybarry accout ( ad you will be otified by letter. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS/ INFORMATION 1. Sed all documets related to your applicatio to the Office of Graduate Admissios. Do ot sed documets to the idividual school or program. 2. Your Barry ID umber should appear o all documets, icludig checks for applicatio fees ad deposits. This umber is used for idetificatio purposes oly. 3. Notify the Office of Graduate Admissios immediately if ame, address, address, or phoe umber chages. 4. All credetials become the property of the Uiversity ad will ot be copied or retured. 5. check the status of your applicatio, check your mybarry accout ( or call or DEADLINES Complete applicatios ad all required documets should be received at least oe moth prior to the aticipated startig date. You must submit the applicatio fee, i U.S. fuds, with the applicatio. 3. The $30 applicatio fee (waived for Barry alumi) is a processig fee ad is orefudable. TRANSCRIPTS 1. If you are a Barry graduate, you eed ot request Barry Uiversity trascripts. 2. If you are curretly a Barry studet, you must iform the Office of Graduate Admissios whe your degree has bee posted to the trascript. 3. All trascripts must be official. Trascripts i your possessio will ot be accepted uless i a official evelope sealed by the istitutio issuig the trascripts. 4. Trascripts showig degree(s) eared must be from a regioally accredited U.S. istitutio or a recogized iteratioal istitutio. 5. Trascripts received from o-u.s. istitutios must be evaluated by a recogized agecy. (For a list of recogized agecies, cotact the Office of Graduate Admissios or refer to This is your resposibility. Oce the official evaluatio is received, a photocopy of the trascript will be acceptable. 6. Trascripts must be submitted from all colleges atteded.
