2 Rational Training & Counseling Associates Bio for Trainers Rod Ogilvie LCPC, CRADC, is the Director of Crisis Management Services & Training for Associates in Professional Counseling & Coaching. Rod was a member of the instructor team with the Illinois Campus Security Task Force team presenting regional training seminars to colleges and universities in He has completed Advanced Training in Critical Incident Stress Management through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and is a trained trainer for their Group, Individual and Pastoral Crisis Intervention courses. Rod also is trainer and provider for Crisis Care Network, the world s largest provider of crisis intervention services to the workplace. He has been involved in numerous critical incident situations involving suicide, accidental deaths, abuse, robberies and other situations where CISM strategies were implemented. He also has provided crisis intervention services connected with 9/11 and hurricane Katrina. Rod has been utilized as a trainer for large corporations, schools, colleges and universities, clergy, chaplains, emergency personnel, and hospitals. He has overseen the training of hundreds of social workers, counselors and other professionals as director of APC s training division. Rod is an active member in the Northern Illinois Critical Incident Stress Management team, providing services to first responder groups. Mr. Ogilvie obtained his Master s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School in He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. He provides training, clinical counseling and executive coaching for Associates in Professional Counseling and Coaching.

Part one is a three hour Online webinar that is completed prior to attending the second part, full day Onsite training. Both courses focus on Critical Incident Response to the Workplace. The Online and Onsite Training is recommended for mental health care professionals, psychologists, counselors, social workers, and others who seek knowledge Critical Incident Response. This program summarizes the latest findings in evidence based behavioral medicine as it relates to psychological first aid, addresses the unique aspects of the provider s role with the employer client and provides an overview of how to deliver critical incident response services in the workplace. This program covers: The latest research and best practices in critical incident response The client relationship as it relates to serving employers What we have learned about resiliency and post traumatic stress disorder Overview of Psychological First Aid (PFA) Guidelines How to conduct individual, small and large group briefings in the workplace Objectives Attendees completing the online program will: Recognize individual response to traumatic events in the context of resiliency Demonstrate a broader understanding of post traumatic Stress Disorder Identify how evidence based behavioral medicine guides critical incident response practice standards Interpret how to effectively and professionally manage a consulting relationship with an employer seeking critical incident response services Practice what to avoid in the delivery of critical incident response services Demonstrate how to apply Psychological First Aid (PFA) principles to small and large workgroups Online attendees may progress through the online multi-media program at their own pace, and return to the program via their personal user name and password at any time.
