2013 Charity Dona0ons THANK YOU DINAS COMPETITORS & HELPERS The commi)ee are delighted to announce that the following dona4ons have been made recently following your generous support and efforts at Dogs in Need Agility Show Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK) Dona0on 1,500 Club Secretary Rosie Sleaford visited this Rescue Kennels near ReHord NoInghamshire having researched the work done by two ladies desperately trying to give all 50 dogs in their care the very best life and health care possible. They have both sold all their valuables, and are lem in their homes with the bare essen4als without too many home comforts. They never put down any dog taken into their care; one dog in par4cular has been there six years. A lovely dog, very affec4onate to humans but sadly not too keen on other dogs, we presume he will spend the rest of his life in this happy and well looked amer kennel environment. All year round they stand at two Car Boot Sales, raising any cash they can to keep their kennels open. Our dona4on will go towards paying veterinary bills and new fronts on the kennels, which are now quite rusty and desperately needing a)en4on. Thank you DINAS compe0tors and helpers.
East Anglian Air Ambulance Dona0on 750 Show Secretary Shelley Christmas chose to donate half of her fund once again to AEEE. This is the Air Ambulance that operate over Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk where of course our show is held. We are reminded that ALL dona4ons to Air Ambulance will help save someone s life. Thank you DINAS compe0tors and helpers.
F.A.I.T.H. Animal Rescue Dona0on 1,500 Entertainment Officer Sarah Boxall decided that F.A.I.T.H. Animal Rescue at Hickling Norfolk should be her nominated charity. Their manager said a special thank you to DINAS, and was amazed at the amount of dona4on awarded, they were very touched that from a family/dog holiday this amount of cash was raised, and they were chosen to use this money within their rescue centre. Thank you DINAS compe0tors and helpers
Lincolnshire & NoWnghamshire Air Ambulance Dona0on 1,500 Communica4on Officer Mick Sleaford visited the Head Office of the Lincs & No)s Air Ambulance at RAF Waddington, near Lincoln to present his chosen nomina4on to this amazing team. Fundraising is our lifeline and we are very grateful for your valuable assistance in sustaining this vital emergency service Faye Nam, Community Fundraiser for Lincolnshire. Thank you DINAS compe0tors and helpers.
Redwings Horse sanctuary Dona0on 750 Show Secretary Shelly Christmas chose Redwings Horse Sanctuary to receive the other half of her allo)ed dona4on fund. The money that you raised through your Dog Agility Show will help us care for our rescued residents many of whom have special long term needs such as arthri4s or behavioural problems such as nervousness of being handled by humans. Your support will help provide these beau4ful animals with a safe and loving home for life, and where possible, will help us to find them a kind foster home if they can live outside our care. Redwings Horse sanctuary relies 100% on the support and generosity of people like yourself. Your gim will not only help us care for the 1,300 horses already in the safety of the sanctuary, but also to reach hundreds more every year who are suffering from abuse, neglect or mistreatment in the UK. Writes Sally Rush Supporter services. Thank you DINAS compe0tors and helpers.
Lucy s Day Out Dona0on 1,500 Judges Secretary Clare Murray had no hesita4on in making her nomina4on fund go to this excellent charity Lucy was just six when she developed "Rhabdomyosarcoma" a solid inoperable tumour in her head. She had harsh chemotherapy and radiotherapy which seemed to work as Lucy was well for four years but sadly she relapsed in March 2009 and lost the ba)le this 4me. During the last six years Lucy had wonderful holidays and days out through different chari4es making a 'horrible life' fun When Lucy knew she was dying she asked if we would do special things to remember her on her birthday. This is where she came up with the idea of the charity; she even designed her own logo for Lucy s Days Out. Lucy died on the 23rd September 2010 amer years of suffering. Unfortunately years of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment did not work for Lucy. In Lucy s last few months her dying wish was to help others by forming a local charity. Keith Hartland, Jerry Holt and Peter Tanner teamed up with Julie Page to set up the Lucy s Days Out Charity in August The trustees, supported by a very willing commi)ee, local businesses and many more, are commi)ed to making Lucy s dying wish a reality. Thank you DINAS compe0tors ad helpers.
