In-house data centres and co-location can be a successful combination to gain maximum flexibility and future proof IT-supply 10

14 WHY GROUNDWATER COOLING? Constantly improving our PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) for example by establishing "cubes & cold isles (ASHRAE standard) The idea about a groundwater cooling system started in In the autumn 2011: Visit to Novo Nordisk in Hillerød with GEO. From 2012 to mid 2014: Process with Ballerup Muncipality with tests, exploratory drilling, hearings etc. In the autumn 2014 proces to obtain a environmental subsidy from the Danish Energy Authority this process took half a year Spring 2015: Finally ready to open the groundwater cooling Expected results from groundwater cooling: Power Savings: MWh (equals 4.440GJ/year) When in full operations: MWh will be saved on a yearly basis CO2-reducements: Would be 308 Ton We would reduce our carbon footprint with 308 ton CO2 on a yearly basis.but since we already use Green power, we are already CO2 neutral 14
