2 4th International Soil and Water Resources Congress September 2015 Kahramanmaraş Dear Participants, With regard to present and possible future problems about soil and water resources in Turkiye and in the world, various tactics should be developed and action plans should be put forward against possible risks. This is a national duty and highly strategic. The fulfillment of this mission can only be done through people and the units specialized in this subject. The purpose of this convention to be held with the support of Turkish Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry and East Mediterranean Transitional Zone Agricultural Research Institute, is to assess the issues related to soil and water re-sources in all sizes and to create an environment to discuss the latest developments and applications in many aspects. This convention will be a platform to discuss a variety of issues related to soil and water resources in our country in order to understand the soil and water clearly. This convention will be held from 1-4 September 2015 in the city of Kahramanmaraş, which was honored with title of Kahraman- Hero- by Turkish Grand National Assembly due to selfsacrifices of its people during National Independence War. Many academics, bureaucrats, engineers, representatives of NGOs, companies operating in related sectors are expected to participate in this convention. I, kindly, invite all participants to our Hero city and hope that our will make contributions to our contry s and World science in the year of UN s International Year of Soils. Registration and Information Services The registration and information desks will be located at the reception of congress center and will be operating between and hours. Participants who have not previously registered will be able to complete their registration formalities at On-Site Registration Desks.
