YILDIRIM BEYAZIT UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC YEAR REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION of FOREIGN STUDENTS On condition that they are in the last year of high school or graduated from a high school which have equivalence to the high schools of Turkey, the candidates can do their application to the bachelor s degree programs of Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Requirements for application Candidates whose applications shall be accepted: On condition that the students are in the last year of the school or graduate; a- Those who are foreign national b- Those who were born as Turkish citizen and get permission for deprivation of citizenship from the Ministry of Interior and those who provide certificate in accordance with the law. c-those, having dual citizenships, who were born as foreign nationals but get TR citizenship later d-those who are TR citizens but complete their high school education in foreign countries except TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) (including those who completed their educations in Turkish schools in a foreign country except TRNC) e-those who are TRNC citizens and lives there, and complete education in TRNC having GCE AL exam results and those who get education between 2005 and 2010 in colleges/high schools in other foreign countries and have/will have GCE Al exam results. Candidates whose applications shall not be accepted: a-those who are TR citizens and completed high school in Turkey or TRNC b-those who are TRNC citizens (except those who complete high school education in TRNC schools, having GCE AL exam results and those who get education between 2005 and 2010 in colleges/high schools in other foreign countries and have/will have GCE Al exam results.) c-as defined in Article 1 Section b, those who are dual citizens and first citizenships of them is TR (except those who complete their high school education in foreign countries except from TRNC and those who completed their educations in Turkish schools in a foreign country except TRNC)
2 d-those who are dual citizens and one of the citizenships of them is TRNC (except those who complete high school education in TRNC, having GCE AL exam results and those get education between 2005 and 2010 in colleges/high schools in other foreign countries and have/will have GCE Al exam results.) e- Those who had punishment because of infraction of the rules in a higher education institution and those who had cheating action in the examination of Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) or other universities. f- Those who are TR citizens and study in foreign high schools in Turkey or in schools affiliated to the embassies in Turkey, or those who were born as Turkish citizen and have dual citizenships as defined in Article 1 section b. On condition that they have exam result of at least one of the exams indicated in table 1, the applicants can do application with more than one exam result. Application: For application, the applicants have to download the documents below to online application form. The application of those who just fill in online application form but do not download the requested documents is invalid. The applicants have to fill in online application form with capital letters (except for address) and the requested documents have to be complete. The originals of the downloaded documents will be requested during registration. It is the applicant s responsibility to hand in complete and true documents. THE DOCUMENTS HAVE TO BE DOWNLOADED TO ONLİNE APPLICATION FORM High School diploma and notary certified translation into Turkish. If the applicants do not hand in original diploma in Turkish, or in English, they have to download notary certified high school diploma translation into Turkish. If the applicant has not graduated yet, h/she has to download their temporary graduation certificate (a document that shows the applicant will be graduate at an identified date.) (During registration, the candidates also have to hand in Certificate of Equality, a document that shows the school applicant is graduated is equal to the high schools of Turkey, from Turkish Embassy or T.R. Ministry of Education. 1. Transcript of Records The candidates have to download their transcript of records that shows the courses taken during high school education approved by the director of the school. Transcript has to include
3 all of the grades of the courses taken during high school education. If transcript of records is neither in Turkish nor in English, notary certified translation also has to be downloaded along with the transcript. The applicants who are attending another university of the graduates from another university has to download the transcript of records that shows the taken courses and grades too. 3. The Valid Exam Result: The exam result that will be used for application is downloaded. (SAT, GCE, International Bakalorya etc.) Only the results of the exam indicated in Table 1 are accepted. Other exam results are not accepted. 4. Passport Copy: The applicants who have passport have to download the copy of the passport page with photo. The page does not need to be approved. There is no need for the applicants who do not have passport to download anything for this section. 5. Passport size of photo 6. Application Fee (100,00 ) Turkish Lira Receipt : Application fee is paid into the bank account indicated below. The date and number of the receipt is written to the application form. The fee is paid as T.L. The name and surname of the applicant has to be indicated in the receipt. Application Fee has to be paid into Türkiye Halk Bankası / Ankara Merkez Şubesi IBAN: TR NOTE: The applicants whose online application form and the documents downloaded during the application have to either hand in the required documents for application personally or send them to the application address via regular post within the application period. Required Documents for Application 1. Online Application Form: Online Application Form is printed and all pages are signed by the applicant who is also supposed to write name and surname to the all pages. 2. High School Diploma and Notary Certified Translation:
4 If high school diploma is neither in Turkish nor in English, notary certified translation of the diploma is submitted along with the diploma itself. If the applicant has not graduated yet, h/she has to download their temporary graduation certificate (a document that shows the applicant will be graduated at an identified date.) Transcript of Records: The applicants are supposed to submit their approved transcript of records that shows all the lectures and their grades they took at high school. If the original transcript is not in Turkish or in English, notary certified translation of transcript is submitted along with the original transcript. The applicants attending another university or the graduates from another university are supposed to submit their transcript of records that shows all the lectures and grades taken at the university Valid Exam Result: The exam result that (SAT, GCE, International Bakalorya etc) will be used for application is sent. Only the exams indicated in table 1 are acceptable. 3. Passport Copy: The applicants who have passport are supposed to send the copy passport page with photo. The page does not have to be approved. 4. Receipt of Application Fee 100 T.L. (100,00T.L.): Application fee is paid to the indicated bank account. The copy of the receipt that shows the fee is paid is submitted. The fee is paid as T.L. The application of those who does the payment as another currency is not accepted. 5. A document that shows the applicant is not a Turkish citizen from those who are of foreign nationality 6. Copy of Blue Card Document (if available) APPLICATION ADDRESS Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi Öğrenci İşleri Daire Başkanlığı Çankırı Caddesi Çiçek Sokak No:3 Ulus - Altındağ / ANKARA The applicants can so their application to this address personally or via post. The deadline for application is July, 30, If the documents are planned to be sent via post, the post has to reach the office till 17:00. The delay in the post is not acceptable. Application Evaluation 1. In placement process, %20 country barrier will be applied to the total quota of each faculty. If there is not enough quotas, it is not applied.
5 2. Evaluation of the applications and placement of the students are completely under the authority of Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Having application requirements is not enough for admission since placement quotas are determined by Yıldırım Beyazıt University. 3. All documents of application have to be approved. 4. Application document is not given back to the applicant after placement. For this reason, the applicants have to submit the approved copies of the application documents, not the originals. 5. Internationally recognized exam results or their high school diplomas may be used for placement. 6. For the exams under the status of high school final exam which will be used in the evaluation of the candidate (GCE, International Baccalaureate, Tawjihi etc) there is no limit of validity. However, the exams under the status of university entrance exam (SAT, TQDK, Gaokao vb.) are valid for two years. 7. For application to the departments/ programs which accept students via special talent exam, the applicant has to get the minimum score determined for any other department. The quota and the procedure will be applied for the program is determined by the senate of our university. 8. By using application form, the applicants can make three preferences at most according to their precedence preference. Online Application Form must be signed. Online Application Form and the downloaded checked and evaluated documents are either submitted personally or sent to the application address within the application period. Turkish Language Prep Class (a) Turkish Proficiency Certificate is not needed for the programs whose instruction language is completely in English. However, these students have to certificate their proficiency of Turkish Language within a year of their education either via the Turkish Language Proficiency Exam offered by language education center of our university or any exam recognized by senate and get at least minimum score determined by the senate. If the students are in prep class and cannot certificate their Turkish Language level at the end of one year, cannot start their education in the department. If they have started their education in the department, they cannot take TİT and TDL courses till they certificate their Turkish proficiency and cannot graduate without taking these courses. (b) Turkish Language level of the applicants who apply for the programs whose instruction language is in Turkish or partly in English without any certificate are determined by the exam
6 result of Turkish Language Proficiency Exam that will be given by Language Education Center (DİLMER). Those who cannot get the required score from the exam start their education in Turkish Language Prep Class. At the end of this period those who get the required score from proficiency exam or any exam recognized by the senate are exempted from prep class. (c) The students who are attending Turkish prep class cannot take their departmental courses if they do not get required score from proficiency exam or any exam recognized by the senate. Students who apply for the departments which require obligatory prep class: Yıldırım Beyazıt University Foreign Language Prep Class is subjected to Academic Exam Regulations. Placement results will be announced on the website of Y Yıldırım Beyazıt University Student Affairs Office. Application Date: : May, 1/2014-July, Announcement of the accepted students : August, 22, 2014 Registration Date of the accepted students : September, Exact Registration: The necessary documents for exact registration. 1- Print of Online Application Form 2- Certificate of Equality, a document that shows the school applicant is graduated is equal to the high schools of Turkey, from Turkish Embassy or T.R. Ministry of Education. 3- Original high school diploma approved by Turkish Embassy or Turkish Consulate. 4- Exam Result approved by Turkish Embassy or Turkish Consulate. 5- Copy of official identity card or the page of the passport showing identity information approved by Turkish Embassy or Turkish Consulate. 6- The bank receipt that shows the applicant has paid the study fee.( Determined by the Administrative Committee of the university every year.) 7- Turkish Translation of student visa that will be obtained from foreign representatives and approved by the notary or Turkish Consulate. Education Annotations and Conditions that does not require visa: Student visa is not required from the applicants under these circumstances:
7 -Foreigners having residence and work permit in Turkey at least for a period of one year, and their wife and children. -The participants who attend Turkish Language Courses which do not last more than three months. -Those who took refuge in Turkey and refugee applicant is accepted -Thos who come to Turkey as immigrant and get refugee document. -Those who are allowed are given residence permit as stateless via the instruction of the ministry. -Those who have residence permit for a period of six months for any reason (except for those having tourist visa). -Foreigners of TRNC nationality. 8- The original internationally recognized Foreign Language Proficiency Document (Turkish Language Proficiency Document) approved by Turkish Ambassador or Consulate. 9- Six Photos 10- A document that shows the applicant is not a Turkish citizen from those who are of foreign nationality. 11-Blue Card Document (if available) 12- Health Certificate to certificate the applicant is healthy enough to attend the related department and does not have any contagious disease. 13- An official document, a notary certified document or a contract that shows the applicant has an income to be able to meet the expenditure of education during university education. (The applicants of foreign nationality who are interested in taking their university education at our university have to certificate that their financial situation is appropriate to meet their educational expenditure from civil departments of their country or consulate of their country in Turkey. The amount of financial assurance will be announced in the website of Student Affairs Office.
