4 TOURNAMENT INFORMATION This will be the 25 th year for the World Tournament. There will be sixteen (16) teams participating at each age division from several European Countries that include Russia, Canada, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden & Slovakia. Teams are places within four groups (A-B-C-D) of four teams in each group. The winner will be determined based on Round Robin system of play within two rounds of competition - the Preliminary Round as well as the Final Round.A) Preliminary Round - every team plays against all other teams within its own group B) Final Round - similarly ranked teams from all groups play against each other. Every participating team will thus have six games, three games in the Preliminary Round as well as three games in the Final Round. The position within the standings will be determined upon the direct games played between the deadlocked teams. All games are 2 x 15 minutes. ZELL am SEE INFORMATION Austria is the country in the heart of Europe. Their neighbors to the north are Germany and the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary to the east, Italy to the south and Switzerland to the west. The Alps are a dominating feature of the country. Two-thirds of Austria is mountains. The tourist resort of Zell Am See (approx 10,000 inhabitants) in the heart of the Austrian Alps is, on account of its spectacular location and tourist possibilities the ideal site for a major hockey tournament. The town is a well known two-season resort at (2,300) feet above sea level, and it enjoys a picturesque location between its name sake lake the Zeller See and the concave slopes of the Alpine Schmittenhohe Mountain in Hohe Tauren National Park. There are 30 mountain tops that reach 3,000 (meters or 9,834 feet in the immediate area). All of our team members and families will be spoiled with culinary variations from the hotel kitchen including a rich warm and cold breakfast buffet and a four (4) course evening dinner with choice, salad- or dessert buffet. Our guests will also receive use of the Aquarena leisure area with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna area and cardio fitness room.

5 THE ARENA All games will be played at the Zell am See Hockey Arena which has a capacity of 3,200 spectators, sufficient locker rooms, VIP facilities, restaurants, buffet, and snack bar. Weights, sauna and indoor pool are available on the premises as well. The arena is centrally located in town (5 minute walk from hotel) and in close proximity to areas of interest.

6 SIGHTSEEING INFORMATION Once we receive our complete tournament game schedule we will structure our Sightseeing Tours. We include a tour around Zell Am See with stops at the Thermal Springs in Bagastien (Gastien Valley) and the salt mines in Hallein. We also include a trip to Salzburg for everyone as well. The major ski slopes are approximately 20 minutes outside of town and we will set up one afternoon to go skiing/snow boarding.

9 CLIMATE We will need to be prepared for a range of temperatures which should be somewhere in the degrees for the time of the World Tournament. LANGUAGE The national language is German. Fortunately, for us as visitors most of them can speak English quite well. Hotel receptionists and restaurant servers almost invariably speak English very well. CURRENCY The Euro is the new currency all over European countries which take part in the European Union. The Euro is fully convertible and changing into or out of foreign currencies is not a problem. Using a credit card can limit or even remove the need to carry large currency or traveler checks. Not only van you pay for many goods and services by card, but you can also use them to get cash advances at most banks. Automated teller machines (ATMS) are quite common and are accessible 14 hours a day. PASSPORTS All players and traveling family members will need passports for travel. ELECTRICITY The current used is 220 V/50 HZ Ac Sockets are the round two pin type which are standard through most of continental Europe. TOTAL COST PER PERSON ($3, USD) Fee includes round trip air transportation from Chicago to Munich, all fees associated with the World Cup Tournament including entry fee, parent and player hotels, breakfasts and dinners, set up for sightseeing tours, guides, and bus transportation. Ski lifts passes, admission to tourist locations, lunches and beverages are not included. Equipment Fee for Players: $295 separate fee.
