2 Income or Diversity-based Scholarships B. Gilman International Scholarship Program Scholarship-Program To pursue academic studies or creditbearing, career-oriented internships abroad. (The program strongly encourages students to choose nontraditional study and intern abroad destinations, especially those outside of Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand.) Grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding. Program aims to support a diverse range of students who have been traditionally under-represented in education abroad, including but not limited to: Students with high financial need; Students from diverse ethnic backgrounds; Students going to non-traditional countries, especially those outside Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand; Students from a diverse range of institutions, including community colleges, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges, Hispanic-Serving Institutions and other Minority-Serving Institutions; Students with disabilities; First generation college students; and Students in underrepresented fields of study, especially the STEM fields Must be studying or interning abroad for at least four weeks (28 days) in one country - or two weeks (14 days) for Fall/academic year: March 1, 2016; Summer: March 1, 2016; Spring: October 2
