1 OSHA Standard Occupatinal Nise Expsure (k)(2) Hazardus Waste Operatins and Emergency Respnse (e)(8) Annual Refresher Training Requirement The training prgram shall be repeated annually fr each emplyee included in the hearing cnservatin prgram. Infrmatin prvided in the training prgram shall be updated t be cnsistent with changes in prtective equipment and wrk prcesses. Refresher training. Emplyees specified in paragraph (e)(1) f this sectin, and managers and supervisrs specified in paragraph (e)(4) f this sectin, shall receive eight hurs f refresher training annually n the items specified in paragraph (e)(2) and/r (e)(4) f this sectin, any critique f incidents that have ccurred in the past year that can serve as training examples f related wrk, and ther relevant tpics (p)(7)(i) New emplyees. The emplyer shall develp and implement a training prgram which is part f the emplyer's safety and health prgram, fr emplyees expsed t health hazards r hazardus substances at TSD peratins t enable the emplyees t perfrm their assigned duties and functins in a safe and healthful manner s as nt t endanger themselves r ther emplyees. The initial training shall be fr 24 hurs and refresher training shall be fr eight hurs annually. Emplyees wh have received the initial training required by this paragraph shall be given a written certificate attesting that they have successfully cmpleted the necessary training (q)(8)(i) Respiratry Prtectin (k)(5) Thse emplyees wh are trained in accrdance with paragraph (q)(6) f this sectin shall receive annual refresher training f sufficient cntent and duratin t maintain their cmpetencies, r shall demnstrate cmpetency in thse areas at least yearly. Retraining shall be administered annually, and when the fllwing situatins ccur: (i) Changes in the wrkplace r the type f respiratr render previus training bslete; (ii) Inadequacies in the emplyee's knwledge r use f the respiratr indicate that the emplyee has nt retained the requisite understanding r skill; r (iii) Any ther situatin arises in which retraining appears necessary t ensure 2/27/2014 4:04:00 PM 1 DTC

Fire Brigades (c)(2) Prtable Fire Extinguishers The emplyer shall assure that training and educatin is cnducted frequently enugh t assure that each member f the fire brigade is able t perfrm the member's assigned duties and functins satisfactrily and in a safe manner s as nt t endanger fire brigade members r ther emplyees. All fire brigade members shall be prvided with training at least annually. In additin, fire brigade members wh are expected t perfrm interir structural fire-fighting shall be prvided with an educatin sessin r training at least quarterly. The emplyer shall prvide the educatin required in paragraph (g)(1) f this sectin upn initial emplyment and at least annually thereafter (g)(2) (g)(4) Fixed Extinguishing Systems (b)(10) Mechanical Pwer Presses (h)(13)(i) Asbests (j)(2)(i) & (ii) The emplyer shall prvide the training required in paragraph (g)(3) f this sectin upn initial assignment t the designated grup f emplyees and at least annually thereafter. The emplyer shall train emplyees designated t inspect, maintain, perate, r repair fixed extinguishing systems and annually review their training t keep them up-t-date in the functins they are t perfrm. The peratr training required by paragraph (f)(2) f this sectin shall be prvided t the emplyee befre the emplyee initially perates the press and as needed t maintain cmpetence, but nt less than annually thereafter. It shall include instructin relative t the fllwing items fr presses used in the PSDI mde. (i) The emplyer shall train each emplyee wh is expsed t airbrne cncentratins f asbests at r abve the PEL and/r excursin limit in accrdance with the requirements f this sectin. The emplyer shall institute a training prgram and ensure emplyee participatin in the prgram. 3 asbests awareness training curse, which shall at a minimum cntain the fllwing elements: health effects f asbests, lcatins f ACM and PACM in the building/facility, recgnitin f ACM and PACM damage and deteriratin, requirements in this standard relating t husekeeping, and prper respnse t fiber release episdes, t all emplyees wh perfrm husekeeping wrk in areas where ACM and/r PACM is present. Each such emplyee shall be s trained at least nce a year. Cke Oven Emissins (k)(1)(iii) Bldbrne Pathgens (g)(2)(ii) The training prgram shall be prvided at least annually fr all emplyees wh are emplyed in the regulated area, except that training regarding the ccupatinal safety and health hazards assciated with expsure t cke ven emissins and the purpse, prper use, and limitatins f respiratry prtective devices shall be prvided at least quarterly until January 20, (ii) Training shall be prvided as fllws: (A) - At the time f initial assignment t tasks where ccupatinal expsure may take place; (B) - At least annually thereafter. Cttn Dust (i)(1)(ii) Acrylnitrile (Vinyl Cyanide) (O)(1)(ii) The training prgram shall be prvided prir t initial assignment and shall be repeated annually fr each emplyee expsed t cttn dust, when jb assignments r wrk prcesses change and when emplyee perfrmance indicates a need fr retraining. Training shall be prvided at the time f initial assignment, r upn institutin f the training prgram, and at least annually thereafter, and the emplyer shall assure that each emplyee is infrmed f the fllwing: (A) - The infrmatin cntained in appendixes A and B; (B) - The quantity, lcatin, manner f use, release, r strage f AN, and the specific nature f peratins which culd result in expsure t AN, as well as any necessary prtective steps; (C) - The purpse, prper use, and limitatins f respiratrs and prtective clthing; (D) - The purpse and a descriptin f the medical surveillance prgram required by paragraph (n) f this sectin; (E) - The emergency prcedures develped, as required by paragraph (i) f this sectin; (F) - Engineering and wrk practice cntrls, their functin, and the emplyee's relatinship t these cntrls; and (G) - A review f this standard.
