Encouraging to healthy lifestyle and spending free time actively. Promoting the region, Góry Izerskie (the Izera Mountains) and Karkonosze ( the Karkonosze Mountains). 4. Information for competitors Start place start of each race will take place in cross-country skiing centre Jakuszyce Behaviour on the start: Contestants follow their bib numbers when they order at the start. Each contestant must be verified by an organiser/ a judge at the entrance to a starting pen, which is necessary to enter the start list. A contestant may not start from a box other than specified by the contestant-assigned number. The omission of the start control or start from the box which is not equivalent to the start number will be result in disqualification. Starting pens shall be locked 10 min before the scheduled time of start. Starts will take place in waves every 1,5 minutes (classical techniques) and every 1 minute (free technique), in sectors of 200 competitors each. For the first 50 m, directly after the start of the free technique race, only the classical technique is allowed. Along the trail there will be one classical technique track. The Time race of all competitors from the first starting pen will be count from the moment of the crossing the time measurement by the first competitor (brutto time). Competitors from the other starting pen have the time count individual after crossing the time measurement until the finish (netto time). Start bibs: The bib and as follows the starting position depends on the result obtained in the previous Bieg Piastów and on the results obtained in other Worldloppet races. Previous Bieg Piastów results shall be used for auxiliary purposes. Behaviour on the race course: The competition is conducted in accordance with the guidelines for the FIS for cross country skiing. Competitors : have to run from start to the finish along marked track and go over all checkpoints can`t hinder the race and can`t impere other competitors can`t impade the overtaking of the faster competitors. Weakly competitors should use the right part of track, the faster - the left one. Have to run according to the stil, in which is conducted the given race. Changing the stil during the race will be result in disqualification. The competitors can`t change the ski, if they are not damaged. Changing the ski during the competition will result in disqualification. Change of damaged skis should take place in the service point which is located on the track. Damaged skis should be left in the mentioned service point. On the race course will be set control points, where service workers will note down bib numbers to verify the distance covered by contestants. It is forbidden to use the XXXVII race course without a valid start number. People without a valid start number will be took off the track by service workers. Marking of race course race course of individual distances will be marked with following colours: - 50 km classical technique red - 26 km classical technique yellow - 30 km free technique blue - 10 km classical technique green Nutritional points and drink points will be set on tracks of individual distances as follows : Race course 50 km classical technique: start, ca. 11km, ca. 20km, ca. 29km, ca. 41km, finish Race course 26 km classical technique: start, ca. 8km, ca. 21km, finish Race course 30 km free technique: start, ca. 11km, ca. 18km, finish Race course 10 km classical technique: start, finish Medical points will be set on tracks of individual distances as follows: Race course 50 km classical technique: START, ca. 11km, ca. 20km, ca. 29km, ca. 41km, Finish Race course 26 km classical technique: START, ca. 8km, ca. 21km, Finish Race course 30 km free technique: START, ca. 11km, ca. 18km, Finish Race course 10 km classical technique: START, Finish Competitors from abroad should have a valid international health insurance. Absolutely time limit of finishing the race (each distance) elapsed at 17:30. After the time the competitors will not be classified. 2

3 Procedure in case of not finishing the race The competitor, who can`t or doesn`t want to finish the race have to inform service workers about this and have to follow their instructions. Changing room Each contestant has the possibility to use the free of charge changing room. Together with the start number every competitor will receive a sack for clothes and a sticker with a start number which he has to glue on the sack. The marked sack can be leaved in a proper changing room (according to division of starting pen) The contestant can pick up his clothes at any time after the race. Sacks with clothes let on the start will be shipped to the changing room. The organiser doesn`t assume responsibility for loss of personal belongings. Awards Ceremony of individual distance will be held in accordance with the schedule publicated on the Organiser's web site - Procedure on the finish line After crossing the finish line the competitor will go trough the manual chip control and get a medal for finishing the race. The first best 10 competitors in category men and women will also receive a medal with information about the seized place and time of awards ceremony. The competitors are commited to be in the area of the award ceremony 5 minutes before the begin. Protests You have to submit the protest with all evidences in a written form, in polish, english or german language. To written protest you have to add a bail of 300 zloty In case of considering the he protest the bail will be give back. In case of dismissing the protest the bill will go in aid of the Organiser. Time for submitting a protest takes 15 minutes from running preliminary results on the board which is located in the area of contest office. The protest is to submit in the contest office. 7. Participation The event is open to both associated and non-associated persons. Children and youth under 18 must have their parents' consent. Competitors participate at their own risk pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 12 Sept ( Dz.U. no.101, item 1095). Participation in the race involves granting consent to processing personal data and to using the image of a contestant by Stowarzyszenie Bieg Piastów in publications and during radio and TV broadcast. The organiser reserves the right to alter the course route and distance in the event of bad weather conditions. Trade races shall have separate rating rules. 8. Starting Fees Worldloppet Races (50km CT, 26km CT, 30km FT): to r zł; to r zł; from r zł. Distance: 10 km CT 60 zł yearlong fee Payment without registration (completing registration form or on-line registration) shall not entitle to participate in the race. We issue a Vat invoice for fees paid by draft at competitors request, 7 days from the date when the money was noticed on the bank account, after giving us all exact data. 4 Swift (BIC): BPKOPLPW Payment confirmation should include: name and surname of the competitor, distance, DOB, domicile. Payments are accepted at the office of Stowarzyszenie Bieg Piastów, via postal order or a bank transfer. All discounts concerning Starting fees for 2013 have been cancelled with a decision of the board of the Stowarzyszenie Bieg Piastów. The fee entitles an entrant to obtain a bib, a commemorative pin, an information leaflet, a poster, a commemorative medal, and refreshments along the trail and in the finish area, the possibility to use a cloakroom before and after the event, professional medical services, a free bus from Szklarska Poręba to Polana Jakuszycka, results and a diploma after finishing the race. If one resigns from the start in the race, the starting fee cannot be transferred to future races. 9. Registration Registration is open from Correctly completed on-line registration form (filled-in completely) or a traditional one is necessary to validate a registration and enter a competitor s name on the internet list of entrants of 37 th Bieg Piastów. Unsigned registration forms shall be deemed void. There is a possibility to change data in the database, such as a change of a distance, until after paying 10 zloty fee. The Organiser reserves the right to close the start list earlier. It is possible to register until or until the number of entrants reaches the set limit. Entrants limit: 10km CT 1500 people 50km CT 2500 people 26km CT 2000 people 30km FT 600 people Organiser is not liable for incomplete or erroneously filled-in registration forms. 5 11. Awards Cash prize: for the first three women and the first three men on the main distance 50km CT. In-kind award: for the first 10 competitors on the following distances: 50km CT, 26km CT, 30km FT for both categories women and men. Absence or late-coming for the award ceremony results in loss of an in-kind award or reduction of the cash prize by 20 per cent. The place and time of awarding the winners of trade races are according to separate rules. 12. Results Preliminary results are binding to the awards ceremony of each individual race. During that period any protests or remarks are accepted. After the time, preliminary results of people, who were decorated by the awards ceremony, are recognized as official results. 13. Accommodation Organiser doesn't secure any accommodation for the competitors. 14. Bus Three will be a free shuttle bus for the competitors in the 37 th Bieg Piastów: from Szklarska Poręba to Jakuszyce, every 20 minutes before the start and every 30 minutes after the start. Due to limited number of parking spaces we request the competitors and spectators to uses free buses or trains on the route: Szklarska Poręba Górna- Szklarska Poręba Jakuszyce 15. Final Provision The final and binding interpretation of present regulations belongs exclusively to the organiser of XXXVII Bieg Piastów. The organiser reserves the right to change the rules without specifying any reason. 5
