1 2016 SEASONAL CAMP STAFF APPLICATION Opprtunities t serve scuting as a member f a seasnal camp staff are available t utstanding applicants. Cmpetitin fr emplyment is keen; the jb is demanding; the experience exhilarating. Applicants are cnsidered fr psitins withut regard t race, clr, religin, sex, natinal rigin, age (if ver 18), marital status, veteran status, r the presence f a health prblem r handicap that is unrelated t yur ability t perfrm the jb requested. Bth new and returning staff are required t submit a cmplete staff applicatin each ear, in rder t be cnsidered fr emplyment/service. New staff will be required t interview. The preferred minimum age required is 16. Candidates that are 15 years ld may apply t be unpaid cunselrs in training, r they may be cnsidered fr a paid staff psitin. Candidates 14 years ld can apply t serve nly as cunselrs in training & if selected will serve fr 2-cnsecutive weeks (nt staff week r week 8). By Scuts f America standards require age 21 minimum fr sme psitins as indicated in the camp psitins list. Frm I-9 Emplyment Eligibility Verificatin is required. Students 17 years ld and under require a Nrth Carlina Department f Labr wrk permit issued by their hme schl district. D nt send these frms with this applicatin, they will be required at a later date. The target dates fr Camp Daniel Bne emplyment are June 5, 2016 until July 31, Select staff may be asked t stay fr ne additinal week. Yur seasnal emplyment agreement, when cmpleted, will give exact dates. Applicants must be registered members f the By Scuts f America r agree t becme registered befre emplyment begins. The principles f the Scut Oath and Law must be practiced as a way f life. The staff is expected t set an example in scuting, which includes the prper wearing f the scut field unifrm. A full BSA unifrm is required fr all staff. Salary is based n psitin respnsibility with cnsideratin t the individual s experience. References are imprtant! Letters f recmmendatin are encuraged.
