For devices used above 2000m altitude, clearance and creepage distance requirements have significant differences compared with GB and equivalent IEC standard (affected CB-transferred products), the clearance limit is 1.48 times of previous limit based on 5000 m altitude, thus, components bridging primary and secondary circuit, such as optical isolators, transformers, bridging capacitors, etc., shall comply with this new requirement; b. Add bridging resistor requirements (see Cl ); Note: This resistor was previously required to comply with requirements of GB 8898 in application guideline, and is required to comply with requirements in this standard now. d. Revise test requirement for batteries (see Cl ), two samples of battery.
