1 Online Film Ordering Ordering Microfilms With Online Film Ordering, you may order microfilms and microfiche listed in the catalog on FamilySearch.org. These microfilms are then on loan to a designated family history center. To place an order, you need either a FamilySearch or LDS Account. The following loan types are available: Extended Microfiche Loan: No return date. Short-term Microfilm Loan: 60 day loan (60-day loan period with an additional 30 days for shipping to the center). The 90 days start once the film is marked as shipped. You will receive an when the film is available at the center. If you do not renew the loan, the microfilm is returned after the 90 days. Extended Microfilm Loan: No return date. 1. Go to: 2. If needed, at the top left, select the language. 3. At the top right, click Sign In. 4. Enter your user name and password, and click Sign In Under Film Number, enter the microfilm or microfiche number of the item you want to order, and click Search. 5 Online Film Ordering Nov Intellectual Reserve Inc. 2 6. Select the type of loan, such as Shortterm Microfilm Loan. The price of the loan is listed. Note: A brief description of the microfilm is listed below. Make sure this is the correct item before placing it in your cart. You cannot receive credit for a microfilm you order by mistake Click Add to Cart. 8. If you want to add another microfilm to the order, click Continue Shopping. You can also: Remove items by clicking. Update the shopping cart You can also access online film ordering from the catalog. On the FamilySearch home page, click Catalog For a place search, make sure that Place-names is displayed in the Search drop-down list. Then type in the name of the place. 3 11. In the search results, click the type of record you are looking for, such as Cemeteries. Then click the title of the record you want to view The details about this record are displayed. Scroll down to Notes to see if there are any restrictions on the use of this microfilm. If so, it will display No circulation to family history centers Scroll down to Film Notes. Then click the film number You can now select the type of loan, and click Add to Cart. 4 15. To continue with the order, click Proceed to Checkout Enter or verify your billing information. Note: You need to enter it only the first time. 17. Click Continue Select your method of payment: Credit Card or PayPal, and click Continue. Note: You can use any card with a Visa or MasterCard logo, including debit, credit, or pre-paid cards. If you need to use a bank transfer or European Direct Debit, you will need to create a PayPal account. 5 19. Review your order, and read the Microfilm Use Agreement. At the bottom, click I Accept. 20. Then click Place Order Complete the payment information. a. For a credit card payment, enter the card details, and click Place Order. b. For PayPal, click Have a PayPal Account. If you do not already have a PayPal account, enter the information to create an account. Click the check box to verify that your PayPal information is correct, and then click Agree and Create Account. To return to Online Film Ordering, click Return to FamilySearch microfilm--lds Church. Note: There may be associated bank and credit card foreign transaction fees for non-united States transactions. Contact your local card-issuing bank for details on these fees.
